Big Leegr
Swirls?!?! NNOOOOOOO!!!!!
Well, same disclaimer for the AI1 as the Total Eclipse-Snow +Very Cold Weather=limited testing.
Looks-Product: pretty clear, not much scent. Any smell noticed could even be from the bottle, as it smelled a little plasticy (?). Definitely not overpowering.
-Bottle: Typical Sonus black with Spray/off/Stream/off sprayer. Long tube (I like!
). This is on the âہ“mixing bottle.â€Â The âہ“refillâ€Â has the same bottle design, but comes with a screw on cap instead of the sprayer. The refill bottle has a suggested dilution chart on it. Same warning on both bottles (donâ€â„¢t drink, splash in eyes, etc.) Warns to not let dry on item being cleaned. Must rinse with either a jet of water or a wet towel. Does not give suggestions for recommended âہ“dwell timeâ€Â times.
No mention of having to shake well before use.
Sprayer worked well. On the âہ“sprayâ€Â option, you should move the bottle as you spray, or else youâ€â„¢ll get a circle of spray (middle dry).
Dilution is possible by filling the proper # of capfuls to add to the mixing bottle. This is handy as you donâ€â„¢t need to get a separate measuring cup. I found that if I poured into the cap, put down the refill bottle, picked up the mixing bottle, tipped it slightly towards the cap, and quickly poured into the mixing bottle that I didnâ€â„¢t spill any product. A funnel would of course make things that much easier. (FYI, 1 cap is about 10 ml. 9.5 by my figuring, but there may have been some margin of error for my part).
Product can foam lots. You may notice it especially if you shake the refill bottle. With this in mind, as with any diluting of product, actually, you should add the water first, then the concentrate. This way youâ€â„¢ll have less foaming, and if you were dealing with more hazardous chemicals, youâ€â„¢d have less of a chance of back splashing into your eyes, etc.
This is listed as a âہ“cleans everythingâ€Â cleaner, but does say that either longer dwell times and/or repeated applications may be needed to get some soiling addressed. Iâ€â„¢ve found that it is no match for coffee stained sinks/pots/counter tops. (I brought some to work with some high hopes. Some fellow employees arenâ€â„¢t too considerate/tidy in the break room.) Even sitting in a pot for 2 hours at 10:1 didnâ€â„¢t dent the staining much.
Most of my testing was at 10:1.
Says it can be used as a prep to get rid of wax on the car. I didnâ€â„¢t want to get rid of any protection I may still have, so I tried it on floor wax residue (again at work). Didnâ€â„¢t do much on the residue that you could feel (fairly thick) but did clean up the âہ“cloudyâ€Â white residue that had splashed up on the wall.
I tried it on carpet stains. Easily cleaned pop/food stains. Not so easily with oil stains. (Including french fry oil residue). It did lighten oily stains, but didnâ€â„¢t work as quickly as it did on protein stains.
Used with an extractor, it didnâ€â„¢t foam excessively, nor did it leave a residue behind to attract dirt back to the spot. I would definitely use this for protein stains on carpet/upholstery.
On oil/grease: As mentioned earlier, itâ€â„¢s too cold now for me to play with metal parts outside so I tried it ... you guessed it - at work. There is a shelf that holds a grease gun on it that had a film on it (Greasy film-imagine that!). I sprayed the 10:1 solution on it and let it sit for 5 min. I then wiped it with a damp rag. Got smears. Tried it again, let it sit for another 5 min... still smeared. I was about to give up on its grease cutting ability when I figured Iâ€â„¢d try applying more product. I poured a puddle about the size of a quarter in the middle of the film. I let that sit for 5 min. then got my damp rag. At this point I didnâ€â„¢t hold much hope for it.
I was surprised! A light wipe with the cloth and I had a clean spot in the middle of the film! No real agitation, just extra product, dwell time, and a wipe!
Used on dirt on counters, walls, etc. All-In-1 works well. It even works on shower stalls. And no coughing fits from harsh fumes in enclosed spaces.
Cost/value: Says you can make up to 3.5 gallons of cleaner from 1 bottle. Even at 10:1, youâ€â„¢re getting a bottle of cleaner for less than a buck. When compared to RTU over the counter products, this is very cheap.
Overall, another nice product from Sonus. I havenâ€â„¢t tried one yet that was bad!
