My review of new Blackfire formula

Blackfire :bow

First off, let me give you my vantage point. I have a black Monte Carlo, 4 years old. Paint is in good shape, but it's had the crap driven out of it, so it's had it's share of wear and tear. There are some swirls, but not many. Before the BF application, I had several coats of s100 on the car. I loved the warm shine it gave. Now, fast forward to Saturday. I dawn washed the whole car and gave the paint a go with FI II. I then went around the car applying the BF and here's my observations.

Ease of use: Easy on, quick dry, easy off. A little goes quite a long way. Layers can be added on top of each other very quickly.

Feel: Slick. In fact, way slicker than my s100. Also noticed that after a wash it's still just as slick where my s100 seemed to start to lose some after a washing.

Appearance: WOW! Paint looks just as deep as my carnuba. Not only that, but the reflections are sharper! Another thing I should add, the paint seemed to glow around sunset. This is when cars seem to look there best, and BF seemed to add more visual pop than the s100.

Beading: Yep, it does that too. It just rained a freakin ton and water beads are small and tight. I've noticed(when the rain has stopped) that the BF seems to sheet the water off quicker. Definately cool. The beads just run together and next thing you know, it's all gone.

Thanks to Terry at CMA for giving me the opportunity to test this product. VERY good alternative to carnubas and much longer protction. I think I'm going to order the paint polish and the QD to see how well these products work together. :xyxthumbs :xyxthumbs

Dang dang dang.....I missed the boat on the new stuff....I didnt have any problems with the old ! I absolutely love the old BF. Is the new out yet ??

Your review is typical of what I would have expected anyway.....

This new version was a trial run to get the Autopian approval. While I never tried the old BF, the biggest change was to increase the longevity of the product and make the finish feel slippery longer. We'll see on the longevity, but let me tell you, this stuff is slick!

done! Heck of a review engine you have going. I believe that will be a major help for people trying to decide what products to use. Might save a few "Which product is best" posts.
