So, I've been taking real good care of my car. It's a white Volkswagen GTI. It's a total love+hate thing going on with the white color. I love it though, and love the car. So, I've been getting ready to "take it to the next level." Moving from 100% OTC by hand, to PC and chemicals via internet. So, I was wondering what you guys thought of my plan:
1. Using the two bucket method, I will first wash the car with CG Citrus Wash n' Gloss. -Applying p21S Wheel Cleaner at the start and reapplying before the end of the wash to brush off any stubborn brake dust.
2. After a good drying, I wish spot clay a couple spots using some Megs QD I still have as lube. Then, I will make sure those spots are ready to go for glaze.
3. Since there is barely any paint correction needed, I've decided I don't need a polish, but will use a very slight cut pad on the PC to apply CG EZ-Creme. Probably using a maximum setting of 4.
4. The white on the car is a very bright pure white. It doesn't show shading across the car, or much depth. To increase it's gloss and depth, I will next apply CG Blitz by hand as a sealant.
5. Next, I will apply CG 5050. I'm debating whether I want to use the PC or apply it by hand. Unless one of you suggest the PC I'm going to default to applying it by hand for safety.
6. Then I'll apply CG Silk Shine across all ext. trim and use a slight amount of the tires. I'm hoping it will not be a greasy shine but more of a matte nature.
I'll be using almost all CG products because I wanted to purchase everything from one shop. They seem to be the best bet if you have to use a product of every type across the board, of the same brand. Don't be afraid to burn me if you need on any of my choices, I would rather be made a fool before I go fool around on my car. All tips are welcome, :up
