My overtime check

So I knocked out a buncha overtime and I have enough money to buy my PC plus have about $250 to spend on products/MFs. I really wanna try Souveran and some of the pics I have seen from it look awesome. So here is my list, any suggestions would be appreciated, I have a smoke colored truck.

1. "Crack in a bottle" 4* Wash
2. Poorboy's Polish
3. EX-P
4. PWC Blue
5. Souveran
6. Bold N Brite
7. Natural Look Dressing
8. Poorboys APC
9. And a Starter MF kit from PB

I wanted to try the Zaino line, but after a few searches it is just as confusing as it was when I started.

Honestly man dont waste your time on the Sov. Get Nattys blue its damn near the same, why spend that $60+ on one jar when you can get almost the same for $15!???!? Especially if you are on a budget.

Zaino's really pretty easy. I think the only real confusion lies with the creator having called the sealants "polishes".

Anyway, if you want to try Zaino, what I'd suggest at a minimum is (assuming you need to actually polish and protect):

1) ZPC (this is the polish)
2) Z2 Pro with ZFX (this is a sealant. You add ZFX to it so that it cures faster)
3) Z6 (quick detailer really helps it "pop")

What confuses you about Zaino? And I am not trying to talk down to you, I just dont know your level of experience, but I have been doing this about 5 years now and have tried pretty much everything. There is more out there than Poorboy's. There are some good products but not everything, dont limit yourself to one product line.

Get some Klasse AIO, its an amazing product if you have not used it.

The difference as I see it between Zaino (which I have use for 5 years now and love minus the mixing) and any carnuba is do you like glass or gloss.

Your car looks likes its wrapped in glass with Z whereas with xxxx it has a warm glossy glow.

And you dont need ZPC and OMO there are better and more cost effective things out there that can even be bought OTC to use.

I am with Doc Holiday. Go with all the Poorboy's products. Take the 45 dollars that you would spend on Souveran and spend it on MF towels or applicators, new pads for the PC, or whole host of things that can be used in detailing. I have and use both waxes. I honestly don't believe that you can tell the difference if applied side by side.

Of course if you really want to get the Souveran go get it. It most likely will be the only way that you will believe me is to try it for yourself. I know that is why I purchased the Souveran. That.... and it was on sale for two for one.

Has anyone tried the Z8, I have heard some really good things about it. I had totally forgotten about AIO, I need to try that stuff too.

Hell yes I like it. Its really more of a spray polly. Its pricey but I put it in a fine mister and can do about 25 coats on under 4ozs. It gives more of a xxxx warm glow than the traditional glass look

If you are interested, I can give you a sample of Klass AIO and Poorboy's EX-P before you buy it. Just cover shipping costs. I have a corporate fed ex account and can 2 day air to you on Monday for $5. Let me know if you would like.

There may be over the counter cost effective products out there to purchase. But none are better if you chose to use the Zaino system. If you chose Zaino to use it would be advised to use the whole system simply because the system is synergetic. They work hand in hand. Each compliments the other in making a system that is without a doubt terrific.

If you use the system as designed Zaino is cost effective.

I like Poorboy's products and use them often. I think you have a terrific list of products to do the job on your vehicle. I like the idea that you can take your overtime money and purchase all of your car care products from a vendor that is knowledgeable, price friendly, user friendly and sunfriendly. That is what sold me on Poorboy's. I do a lot of detailing in Fairbanks, Ak. During the summer you need sunfriendly products cause the sun does not set for almost four months.

Personally I do not care for bold and bright for anything but wheel wells. Natural look is good for interior and the APC is a waste of money for as little as you get IMO.

Get the trim restorer from PBs of CGs as well that is a great product. I think you would be doing a disservice to yourself if you did not add it.

As far as the Zaino system, I really do not feel you need the ZPC, thats just my thoughts. I think that as long as you do the proper prep and a wipe down before applying Z or use AIO its no biggie. Cheers!

I don't really think I need the ZPC either, I have only had my truck for a month and there is only a little light spiderwebbing from the detailer at the dealership. I figured I would just correct it myself instead of taking back to them and let them do who knows what to it.

What the heck!?!? The word that is "XXXX" in my above post is "nubaa" minus the extra "a"

Thats odd

Probably because shortening the word 'carnauba' to something like xxxx is annoying and something that 14 year olds do. This is an adult forum and I believe the emphasis lately has been on typing like grown-ups. Didn't you get the memo?

Simply brilliant post, and one that adds so much to what was a informational thread. Maybe you didn't get the memo.

I use Z8, it is incredible. You can see a slight difference between Z6 and Z8. However, I only use Z8 as a last step product. Z6 I use between coats of Z5 and Z2 and when claying.
