My only gripe with S100/P21s !

I love the ease of application and the shine of s100/sec but does

anyone else share my results.

After a wash or two it seems that there is no more slickness to the finish what so ever and also the beads are not nice and circular as when it started out?

I've tried s100 a number of times over the last 5 years and find the same thing each time.

I get decent durability with S100. About 3 months, which seems to be the norm for carnauba paste waxes I have used. I must mention we get no acid rain or industrial fallout in the Dallas area, so what I may get with regards to durability, others may not depending on their location.

I've not had this problem, although the slickness does drop off a bit. P21S lasts a few months, but I QD often too so that may help. I use the P21S shampoo as well and follow the directions for mixing/amount per wash.

My cars (red and black) are garaged at night and usually under cover during the day.

I am with Scott on this. I have gotten decent durabilty with S100. On average I get about 2 months and this is with regular washing and QDing. :nixweiss

What QD do you use with P21S?

I also agree with Scott. I get 2-3 months of durability which is as good as carnauba gets.

Guru Reports found that P21S did fine in durability.

I dont care to much about durabilty I just like how S100 looks. I wax once a month anyway so I alway have that fresh wax look.

It must be the wash you're using. Most wash shampoos leave a residue on the car that you can not see, no matter how well you rinse it. It will make the surface feel draggy, and next time you rinse the car it will appear to not be beading as well as it should. So, what are you washing and drying with?

This can be an issue...I found that some washes, particularly Meg's GC wash, provide sheeting action which interferes with the beading ability of S100.

Another quick application of S100 solved this problem.

In terms of soaps and P21S surface prep, I find that P21S Bodywork Shampoo, Zaino Z-7, 1Z Perls, and Pinnacle seem to be the best washes before an S100/P21S waxing for best look and depth.

I get close to 2 months out of S100. It's been 3 weeks now and the beeds are still tight and small.

I wash with GC and QD with Showtime or #34.

Like everyone says, the shine seems to be there but I have much drag and and not too much beading going on.

I've washed with many a shampoo and QDed with many a QD.

QS, #34, Final Detail, Showtime.

Will keep trying but shine is great.

I do agree that the slickness/silky touch tends to disappear after 2 washes (I am using NXT shampoo). But the beading is still there after 2 months.

The only other problem I face is that S100 tends to attract dust quite quickly. After a couple days of driving, there seems to be a white coat of dust on the hood (from driver's perspective).

Waiting for my TS to arrive in the week after to see if the dusty problem prevails.

I use a varitety of different QDs. Everything from Z6 to Megs Final Inspection to Quickshine. I find that s100 only lasts for about 4-6 weeks. To be honest though that does not bother me. If I couldnt be out adding another layer of Zaino, Klasse, Nattys, or s100 every 2 weeks I would go insane. I like to add layers frequently.

For our customers we use s100 and never had any complaints. Most are so stunned for the shine they dont even consider durability. We did a X5 recently and the owner was convinced that we went to the BMW lot and got him a new one :D :D :D

Here (about 50 miles northeast of Tokyo), we also don't have a problem with acid rain; in my case, I seem to average about 2 months for durabilty (with S100). But my light metallic paint looks so damn fine, that's plenty for me!
