Welcome to Autopia!

Your NSX looks great! Did you do any polishing before the zaino? Did you use Z2 or Z5pro?

I personally did not Zaino the car. The seller zainoed it right before I picked it up about 2 weeks ago. I think he used Z2. Looking at the results of Zaino, I ordered Zainos ultimate protection kit. I also ordered whole bunch of microfiber towels so I can put a few coats on myself. The info on this forum is very helpful :thx

Awesome car! It'll be interesting to see what you do with it and if your product selection changes after you've been here a while. Detailing is a real sickness and you end up trying everything in search of the perfect finish. ;)

Very nice! Did you do it with the newer Z5-Pro and Z2-Pro? :2thumbs:

Zaino is also on my Porsche C2S (see Avatar) and with Z8, it's very glossy. Prior to winter, I'll top with Souveran before the cover goes on just to see how much wetter I can get it and to add in a bit more protection.

You need to get some H&R springs to lower the ride height just a bit. Looks a tad too high. Normal for some imports due to DOT regs on bumper height. Porsche Carerra's (except GT3) all look too high in the rear. Adding "sport" springs will lower the center of gravity and improve handling big time without a harsh ride unless you go for a stiffer rate. :woot2:

Seems each year, Sal Zaino has made more improvements to the line and now includes the new Z-PC polish. The new Z5-Pro has better hiding and much better gloss and depth and less of that "Saran-Wrap" look like it did years ago, which is why many people still do not use Zaino thinking it's still got that plastic look. Somewhat like Rejex looks today, very reflective, plastic looking. Example is if the finish is black, Rejex and old Zaino look like a rolling black mirror whereas new Zaino and even more with a high-end wax, such as Souveran, look like a rolling black pool.

Zaino works very well on wheels if you have steel brakes and brake dust. At least I don't have to worry much about that as I have the PCCB (Porsche Composite Ceramic Brakes) on my C2S. I also here Rejex works best in that relm too keeping brake dust cleaning very easy.

After getting the zaino kit, I wanted to do the whole process myself. I washed the car then clayed it and washed it again. I applied 2 coats of Z2 pro with ZFX as i did not feel necessary to use Z5 pro as the car did not have any swrill marks. When I took the car in the sun, I did notice a few swril marks. I applied 2 coats of Z5 to get rid of the light swrils followed by Z2. I still noticed some of the light swril marks. Am I doing something wrong here? Is my technique creating the new swrills or the previous one ? BTW I am using pakshak microfiber towels to remove the product. TIA

The filling ability of Z5pro is on the light side. I prefer to do my swirl removal with a PC/Rotary and a good polish. Menzerna or optimum.

Can you take some pics in the direct sun where we can see the swirls?

I am sure yours is not this bad, but this will give you an idea of how to capture swirls with a camera
