My newly detailed 2003 350z

How did they steal the car? I thought it has a computer chip in the key, which is required to start the car? Maybe I'm being naive, but I own a G35 and am wondering how people steal these new cars now-a-days. BTW - Sorry to hear about the stolen Z.
 
so many places its not even funny. Elizabeth you worry bout being carjacked. 1 time was riding a bike (cbr) at like 1 in the morning....i kept blowing red lights and got pulled over. A cop pulled me over and asked what i was doing, i told him I was lost and didn't want to risk getting carjacked:sosad He ran my info and then esocrted me to the turnpike entrance:eek: As for cars getting stolen, these low lives love newark, jersey city and new brunswick..especially the loews on route 1 movies in new brunswick. By all means, do not go to that movie theater instead go to the one down the street regal in north brunswick. there is a rumor going round that they no longer chop up cars but send them whole to countries thru the elizabeth port...dont know if this is true, but it is said that those containers (lined with something) dont allow signal like lo jack to be recieved but i dont know if it is true. Also you guys remember the thread about the maxima hid's being stolen, well one lady at my job parks in the back and they stolen during work. next month, they got stolen again....finally they now allow her to park in the handicapped spot out front. Its sad, these theifs almost know what the want and make a list and strike when no one expects, did you guys here the 1 about the maximas that where parked at a dealer overnite outside waiting for the fix so the hid's dont get stolen, and some lowlife stole them:shocked then the dealer refused to pay saying it wasnt there fault that they were stolen overnite:angry a news crew got involved at was well:D
 
Thanks for the info man.I live in central jersey and i don't dare to park my car in elizabeth,newark and jersey city.Once in a while I go to lowes in New brunswick(route 1)but with my beater car,lol.
 
central jersey me 2..piscataway. Did you hear how last year, some ppl broke into an acura dealer (* believe the one either on route 18 south or Bridgewater Acura) and stole rims, dashboards, doors, radios, hoods from integras and 2 gsr motors. at rutgers, integras are getting stolen regularly. pick up the targum (rutgers newspaper) and read the police blotter, i swear it like 2 cars a month. :angry
 
Heard there was some kind of possible class action suit against Nissan for not installing the anti-theft devices to the Maximas' HIDs. What's the deal with the Maxima HIDs anyways, can they be used in other cars? I would think that you would also need to steal the other components for the HIDs, not just the bulbs, to make them work.
 
i dont know, but i believe you can rig them to work on any car. For example my friend bout stolen acura cl (2 door coupe) hid's and got them fitted to his 2000 civic hatchback. he had the car hooked up, but then murphy's law took place and karma hit him hard. he got his car stolen from the old navy on centennial in piscataway, when his girl(now wife) took it to work. what goes around comes around, *I* dont by stolen property because 1) its illegal 2)I dont want to support the low lifes:nono

They rip the complete headlight assembly out. Apprantly the 02-03 Maxes are very easy targets. A screw driver a bit of elbow grease and you're done. Apparently, Nissan is now installing anti-theft devices at the dealership if you ask for it. According to what i've read, it doesn't help much.



Keep in mind that the reason there are thefts is because there is a "market" for it.

Sorry to have changed the subject of this thread from Click and Brag to Carjacking and stuff. I just wanted to show one more of the colors in which the 350Z comes in Lemans Sunses (orange).



Anyway my car was carjacked (or i was carjacked, don't realy know how to use the term). Two ***&&&ers waited for me to come out of my house aproched me with a gun took everything I had on me and, originally planed to take me with them fortunatelly for me the 350z is a two seater and not much space in the trunk, finally they took off with it.



As you can see below my avatar I'm in Mexico City, and I don't know how it's up there, but here, since its been getting harder and harder to steal cars when parcked and locked beacouse of all the security devices it has become esier for lowlifes like this two to just come at you with a gun in hand and take it away with the original keys and all.



Anyway after thet episode I bought my next car and tried to make it the least "showy" without depriving myself of a nice vehicle(but the swirls and scratches are driving me crazy), what do you think:
