I believe you! Perhaps the pressure washer, which I do not own, makes the decisive difference--or maybe I'm just getting older and I like to dawdle, though I sure don't feel like I'm dawdling. :)
 
This is almost the exact same process I use. Although I just use APC for the wheels and wheel wells. The PW works great for the wells and spraying off the heavy stuff.



I have had to adapt this year also. I now have three weekly accounts to make sure that I atleast have an certain amount of income coming in each week.



Although now that I am in the later years of my life the thought of ten weekly mobile washes doesn't sound too exciting.
 
It is admirable that you can wash a car that fast, however, in my own experience rushing that much can cause missed areas or at worse accidents. Perhaps you have lowered your prices too much, to the point where if you are not moving fast enough, you are not making a profit. I am always striving to increase my efficiency, but if I find it compromises on things or makes the process dangerous, I will go back to old methods.

As you guessed, it was to clean the windows. I did have some drying issues yesterday. I will start using a yellow bug pad with ONR.



I ordering some Trim Shine from Stoners.....60.00 for five gallons with free shipping. It can be cut 2:1 for wells making a better choice. Thanks man.

I guess this is what sets some of us apart from others....



There is a chance that there will be some residual WB left on the wheels... Using water is not a robust/effective method.



I always take the precautions I am knowledgeable of even if the chances of damage are infinitesimal! That is one of the reasons my customers have the trust in me that they do....
 
Guess I am just focusing on a different client base. Totally respect what set you apart. You a great detailer.
 
i have been using a pressure washer for years and never had any issues with paint chipping off or anything like that. You have to remember that you are not getting the full potential of the pressure washers power when using a misting spray type tip. If you shot the vehicle with the straight stream you would blow a hole through the paint for sure but i have never needed that for anything.



I have went close to the paint many times and nothing. It's all technique and watching for anything that just doesn't look like it should be hit with any sort of pressure. I have always use 2600psi gas pressure washers with 0 issues.



Believe it or not though there are some cases that the pressure washer doesn't take off certain things but when you wipe it with a towel it comes right off LoL.
