Hey there. I just bought a 1997 Doge Ram 1500 5.9 Liter V8. I Bought it with all the lil upgrades. so its got a brush guard i think a new grill. the pipe things over the box. diamond plate tail gate cap. got the molded in step and all the way back along the wheel wells as well. Its got a wood interior which im not crazy about but i might get used to it. its diffrent. So I called and emergency Detailing session so Greg and myself detailed it. inside and out. Greg did the inside last night then we both cruised on the exterior.

Wash with HT
Clay during wash
spray and wipe (this mornin)
Gregs super Polish with rotary
SSR 2 with polising pad on PC
PB polish via hand
Gregs Glaze via hand
Nattys via hand

wheels got boldnbright
windows got a bunch of diff stuff but finished with stoners
put PB wheel selent on wheels
mothers metal polish on all the metal stuff
meguiars leather cleaner on leather
VRT on everything else inside

I will clear up the process a little bit haha.

Wash with HT bubbling suds
Clay during wash
spray and wipe (this morning)
Optimum via LC white pad @1500 rpm
SSR 2 with polising pad on PC
PwC blue via hand
BSG via hand
Nattys original via hand

Wheels Cleaned with Hot rims and then PB ws x 2
50/50 vineager water on windows followed by IG
mothers metal polish on all the metals
meguiars leather cleaner on leather
Vrt on all vinyl
PwC original on all interior woods

Oxy and APC on interior
Floor mats got #40

We spent about 6 hours on it total. we started yesterday and finished up today at about 230. We got a majority of the swirls out and just some scratches remain. We decided to wait to get those out. We plan to do a little bit of wetsanding on some touchpaint on the truck but that will be at a later date.

Pappy - congratulations on the new truck! You and Greg did a great job on the detail!!!! It doesn't even look like a 1997 truck! Awesome!!!
 
yea it got quite a few extras which are nice but i wish they had them painted right. so all the ground effects were aftermarket to make it look like one of dodges sportier upsells. but the paint is all bubbling and chiped off on them and very thing so u can see the base though it. but it should only be a couple hundred to get it repainted.

i also have to buy the rest of the brush guard. the previous owner must not have liked it or it got bent or somthing because the parts coving the lights didnt come with it. so that might be a christmas gift. not to big of deal but just some lil things to tweak. and i may paint that trim inside a black if i dont get used to the wood. because the wood dates it alil bit i think.

the best thing is it comes with alil growl to it. haha. not so much that its illegal or annoying or worst of all HICK but just enough so you know a truck is coming behind you. so thats cool.
 
yea i had to burn off the gas in there before i get my free tank full tommorrow morning...hahahah gregs going to push me into the gas station. hahaha
