Well I finally found it. 2001 740I sport package. 90k miles, fairly decent shape besides rock chips and a few dings. Only washed it and polished the tailights so far. Anyway here are the pics.

Gorgeous car! Good luck with it. What are your plans to do on the paint? It looks good already. Nice looking interior too. Take some Leatherique to those nice black leather seats and steering wheel and you'll be amazed.

Again, nice find.

Thanks for all the compliments guys. I really need to get down to polishing the paint but haven't had any time yet. My only concern are the number of rock chips on the hood, I may just have to get the hood repainted.

99blackse- it's actually a 4.4L V8

Simracer- I'm coming from a Tahoe so this will be way!! better. I should see in the 20's on the interstate so for me that is great. haha.

Puckman- I might take you up on that leatherique suggestion they look good now but I bet with a litte care they will be great. It's amazing how nice the inside of this car is for 90k miles.

One of my all time favorite cars:xyxthumbs I love the 750il too, with the V12.. I hear that there are a ton of maintenance issues with those cars though, hope your's is better than the one's I've heard about though. With only 90,000 miles on it it should be good for another 100,000 or so right? Both the interior of the car and the exterior don't seem to be going 'out of style' anytime soon.

Nice ride! It's hard to find one like that. I was considering a 740i but couldn't find one in my area that was in my price range.

Thanks guys.

93 accord- yeah these cars do have expensive maintenance I guess you have to really want one not to be pissed off when things break. It should def go at least another 100,000. It was a different model but my dad had and 89 735 that he put 189,000 by 95 and it still ran fine.

you Bimmer guys should come join us at www dot bimmerforums dot com and www dot bimmerfest dot com. both site are a great resource. I love my E39 528i/5m that I have had for about a year. Welcome to the BMW family and don't forget to join BMWW CCA @ bmwcca dot org.

Yea, those cars indeed look great despite the fact that it's 6 years ago. It just fascinates me how some cars immediately go out of "fashion" and look like old cars (Honda Accord comes to mind, only because my uncle owns one) while Benz's (some of them) and BMW's (especially the 7 series, M5, etc) keep their look even with all these new models coming out.

A high-mileage BMW. HAHAHAHA - Good luck with the repair costs.

Mine is 10 years old!

As soon as I get it home, BAM! The gremlins start coming out!

It needs an oil change

I shouldn't have ever bought into this hunk of junk.

Both my parents have BMWs and my dad had like 2 problems with his 5 year old X5 that were fixed in less 15 mins at the dealership with no charge.
