My New Detailing Ride 08 Wrangler Unlimited Sahara

So I decided that the great white north wasn't going to kick my *** for yet another winter so I got something to help me go through the 3 feet of snow that falls up here. So far I love it. Anyway, I got it from the dealership and told them not to touch the exterior so it was nice to know that I was starting with a clean slate when I was in the bay at the dealership pulling off the white shipping plastic myself! Anyway here's what she looks like! Plans for next summer include getting an 8' trailer to accommodate my detailing supplies.

Washed with Megs Deep Purple

no claying needed

Finessing pad with AIO

Megs #16 because I wanted to see what kind of shine I could get with a product I know has some long term durability.

Stoners More Shine on the tires and wells

PB Wheel wax on the rims

303 Convertible Vinyl top protectant on the roof!

BTW, if anyone knows any good combos for metallic blue, let me know, I'm all ears for suggestions!

Wow - it's rare to see a clean wrangler :). I would suggest Opti-Seal for that color... just layer and layer it on (15 minutes in between) and it'll get the illusion of a visibly thick clearcoat.

Fk1 1000p, a few coats, one after each wash. Great for metallics, and super durable.

Just curious but what's FK1 1000p? I kinda took a long absence from Autopia for a while.

Looks good, maybe a 3in. lift and some 32in tires.

haha, I actually have a 4in lift for free waiting for me... a buddy of mine bought it for his and wanted a 6in so he took it off after putting only 1500 miles on it. I gotta find out what'll come of the warranty if I do anything like that.

I'm actually planning on getting some Opti-Seal when I order my foam gun. I figure with a true off road SUV it's a good idea to get a foam gun to help the washing process because I still plan on keeping it swirl free like I did with my MZ3.

Jeeps are always supposed to have mud slung all over them and always be dirty, so how can you defile that one by using it as your detailing rigg:lol .......it will always have to be clean now..:bigups

Looks good.

Other than putting a few layers of Opti-Seal between AIO and #16, I can't think of a way to make it look any better. Really nice, wet carnauba glow. :)

I was really surprised when I was looking at it that the orange peal on it isn't all that bad. The fenders have a weird look to the paint. I'll try and capture it with pics.

thanks for the compliments and I'll definitely be adding Opti-seal to my shopping list. I'm ordering my foam gun and a bunch of other goodies this coming week.

A lady I know just got one identical to yours except with a hard top. I have never been much of a Wrangler fan just because they always felt like cheap tin cans to me. These new ones are freaking solid and VERY nice!

Opti-Seal between the AIO and LSP? I figured the order would be OS, AIO, then LSP.

I was actually the same way. This new one rides very similar to my friends 04 Grand Cherokee. The inside is very cleanly done and is actually pretty luxurious as well and the fact that the carpets come out so easily makes cleaning a breeze if I ever need to do any heavy cleaning on them. I actually have a hard top at home but I haven't gotten around to putting it on yet and I'm actually not sure if I will or if I'll just sell it because I got it for 25% off because my friend's dad is a vp of some division at Chrysler.

Post pics after you get the lift on...

If they have 32inch stock then go 37inch, if 37inch go 40inch. You get the idea.

Nice Jeep...
