My new 06 997 Porsche Carrera S!

Stock brakes: Steel rotors and semi-metalic pads, calipers: Red

PCCB: Ceramic Composite rotors and pads, calipers: Yellow

That's how to spot PCCB's!

Black is so nice looking with that Aero Kit!!

I did not get the X51 option which is the power kit at $16K! As it only adds a bit more HP/torque. Nice though, new intake, carbon fiber air box, reworked heads, headers but at $16K they are nuts!

I was going to change the dials in the car to yellow, but it may look too extreme!

So far, I'm also looking into a new film 3M has called Aerospace type film which is clearer than standard "Scotchcal" type and less orange peel looking.

Check this out: Clear Film install on 997 C2S

Looks as if I'll reorder some fresh Zaino! :bigups

bump on the fk1 stuff! If your looking really deep and wet then top the pink wax (if you use it) with nattys blue or souveran. #425 qd is a must and you might want to try (you can get samples from fk1) the fx-100 spray glaze/sealant. ITs like ocw but I think it looks a touch better.

I think I know what polish you will be using haha.

Nice ride! I have a 996 TT, don't be surprised if you have to put in a quart of oil every 600 miles of driving.

Wow, who would of though that would be normal.

Here's some pics of a black 997 C2S with the Aero Kit. Wheels are painted black and it has standard brakes, not the PCCB's. This is killing me!

Although those pics are close to what I ordered, I have the PCCB's, Sport Exhaust, standard 19" C2S wheels with color crest centers.

Those pics were taken by another member of another forum, but I HAD to share these!

Production starts in Feb! :rockon

The wait is killing me!!!

I feel for ya! You should ask them to leave the white protection film on there. I would grab some for the front too.

OK, here's a few more pics from inside a dealership. Close to my order, but has sport whelels and standard brakes.

Oh yea, production now pushed to MARCH! :censored:

Enjoy!

Uncle! You are killing me! I want one too :).

That is a sweet looking ride, and you're going to be sporting a grin like the joker for several months after it arrives!

Why didn't you go for a C4S? It would have been easier to drive fast in the twisties!

No need for the C4S. Not going to drive it in bad weather anyway.

C2S is just as good in dry as a C4S and I don't have that hump from the drivetrain up front as with the C4S. On the other hand, the new 997 TT has a newer AWD setup that's really slick.

I finally got to drive a C2S a few days ago and I'm still grinning ear-to-ear! Sales rep who took me out in it told me not to baby it like it was the Lexus SC430 I had and to punch it. Man that was sick! Also, he told me when we were exiting a ramp off I-84 not to brake. Oh it was like the car was on a rail!! His personal favorite gears.... 2nd and 3rd to wind up the motor which does sound so sweet. Even better sounding with the sport exhaust!

Now I have withdrawl from the test drive! Production starts in March, delivery in late April or May. Then it gets paint film, radar and if Porsche approves the PCM swap for Satellite I'll get that as well. Right now, some owners are getting the parts that were ment for the SUV from Porsche and removing and replacing the PCM with that one. Not yet approved by Porsche, but who cares?

Regards,
Deanski

Hehe Deanski why don't you attend a Porsche Driving between that time? Definitely worth the money!

Is the 3 to 4 months order time typical or did you order enough special equipment to extend the delivery date?

Heck, I had cars I didn't keep 4 months let alone wait that long for one.:)

Its normal since he special ordered it to his specific wants or needs. BMW's wait time is 3 months. Next time around I'm definately ordering my car to my specific wants. You enjoy the car more.
