My Neglected Explorer

I finally got my pads. The menzerna line is great!!! My '01 Explorer has been severly neglected since I have owned it and before. The hood shows bad signs of tree sap etching the paint (we go camping every July). I went over the whole vehicle once and 1/2 the hood (so I could see the difference) 3 times with IP and it came out pretty good but there are still etching there. In your opinion would SIP make a bigger difference? I used IP,FPII, Red Moose Glaze and PBW EX-P sealant. Like I said it came out pretty good..Covered up a few scratches, took out some but I would like to get rid of the etching totally if possible. Also, after I apply the sealant how long do I have to let it cure to apply a coat of wax? Thanks in advance.

Wow - that's pretty aggressive. Yeah I guess I'd step up to a more aggressive compound and maybe try it first with a white or orange and move up the line until you get the desired results.
