No. I First ring out the mitts to get the finish all soaped up and lubricated than I do 1 panel at a time and rinse each panel off before moving onto the next.

Glad you use the chenille type mitts - I have used that type for years and have had great results, no scratching, they hold lots of soap, etc.... You know what Im talking about..
