My love/hate relationship with black.

I can't really comment on using another 3m product before the PI II MG because I haven't done so. I do have PI II FC RC and even the even harsher Super Duty RC :scared I used the FC RC independently of PI III MG with unsatisfactory results on another car I had. If I HAD to guess, I would say PI III RC might be the appropriate product before PI III MG. i don't have that so I don't know :nixweiss

Nevertheless,in my case, when I detailed my white paint, I didn't have DACP, maybe that with a follow up of PI III MG will get me the results I want.

Now that I have DACP and the 1z polishes I'm going to give either or a shot this spring :up

KgSolomon1- The 3M PI-III RC (pn 05933) is NOT all that strong, so you might need something stronger than that. You won't remove serious marring (even "swirls) from many hard b/c paints with that product and a PC. *I* use the 1Z Ultra, but then if the surface is that bad I usually use a rotary. Trying to do rotary work with a PC is more problematic than many might think, IMO.

I'd be careful using really harsh compounds with a PC, it doesn't have the heat/speed to break them down the way they are designed to, so you can get constantly harsh effects instead of diminishing abrasive-type effects. This is one reason why the rotary is sometimes SAFER for serious correction than a PC.
