One of my friends has a new Volvo S40. After i got into detailing and polishing i stopped looking at the car itself and started to look at the paint. He wanted me to take a look at a spot where a detailer tried to remove a scratch. And we all know what happens when you put rubbing compound and a rotary or DA, HAZING!. I took care of the hazing in about 30 minutes (took along time to look at the finish
).
So now i am doing his entire car. Its in the garage after 2 wheels got polished and cleaned and Poorboys wheel sealanted and the interior got cleaned also and the engine bay
. TOmmorow i will be polishing it. I am gonna be doing 2 passes with Menzerna Final Finish II. It took one pass to remove the hazing and half the swirl marks from the damaged area so i think 2 passes should be sufficient enough with a Polishing Pad. After that i am gonna put on Menzerna FMJ followed by a coat of Pinnacle Souveran wax (that DHL delivered today).
What do you guys think? It is a black car. I will be doing before and after ofcourse.
