My Hyundai experience

I recently inherited my sisters 2003 Hyundai Elantra and needless to say it was 10x worse than my '96 Jeep. The paint was horrible -- it felt like sandpaper; had purple spray paint overspray from my mother painting something in the garage with the car in as well; had a few major scratches; and not to mention that it is a really crappy paint job (more orange peel than I've ever seen before...)

Process:

Wash -- Mothers Cal. Gold

Clay -- Clay Magic -- what once was blue is now tinted purple from the overspray

#83 with Sonus Orange x2

#80 with Sonus Green

Pinnacle by hand

Meg's Endurance Gloss on Tires

AIO on glass

What I learned:

1.) A bad paint job can only look so good

2.) I'm still learning how to use #83

3.) Black cars are harder than I thought

4.) Some products really attract dust & pollen -- (it doesn't help that my mom is really into flowers and we have many around the house)

5.) No matter how much I'm disatisfied with my own work, other people think it looks great.

Here are some pictures I took once my camera had finished charging.

Notice on this picture how unreflective the paint is near the license plate? Dissapointing is it not?

I am going to do the interior today which isn't too terrible, just needs a vacuuming and a wipe down.

Well it rained tonight and I have to say that while I'm disapointed I couldn't get this thing in a garage, it sure did bead up nicely! if it wasn't so late at night, I'd go take some pictures but we'll see how it looks in the morning.

Thanks for the comments!
