Last week it was time to do my own car. It never is really dirty but it needed some machine love. Not full swirlremoval since this is rock hard paint and I dont have a rotary, but a big improvement:)

This is what i did

Wheels with WB

door arches with APC

Snowfoamed with AB lance

Washed with NXT wash, 2 buckets and dried with water magnet

Clayed with mild clay (only wax removal)

Ip + W7006 + g220 2 to 3 passes

FF + white LC + g220 1 pass

#7 + black LC + g220 1 pass

first layer of dodo banana juice

trims en rubbers with trim detailer

tires with high endurance

windows with glass cleaner

second layer of dodo

took some outside shot, then went for a bite and got it back in

third layer of dodo (couldnt resist:P)

Thanx for reading;)

Fantastic work on a nice dub.....but AHHHH what is it with the dumb stretched trend? That trend needs to die off already. The wheels look like they are for a mexican lowrider.

Yeah, nice detail, but what the hell is with those tires that arent the right size? Looks like they are gonna pop off any minute.

Yeah man, that has to be hard on the side walls. Wonder what pressure you have to run to keep them from popping off of the bead??

Just the normal amount you would put it, nothing will happen just because they are stretched. In the VW scene here it is a very common sight, and it looks great too IMO:LOLOL

Very nice, shiny and low! I personally don't favor the stretched wheels, but it is the trend in dubs these days.

You have an admirer!

hmm, I don't usually go goofy for mk3s, but there's somethin about yours that I really like...maybe cause it's SOOOO clean!

Probably stretched the tires in the back because he wanted the rear staggered look (even though its a front wheel drive car) and didnt want that big of a front-rear tire width difference?

Sadly, that stretched look is the fad, no matter how potentially unsafe that is. Hitting potholes is already dangerous enough with low-pro tires, let alone insanely stretched ones. I'm a VW owner and in the same scene as well, but I still don't get it.

Anyway, car looks fantastic. Nice work.

Do those stretched tires have any effect on ride quality and handling? I imagine the ride quality is already pretty stiff with the drop and low profile tires, but does the stretch affect it further? Also, is that hard on the integrity of the tire to be stretched out so far?
