My free Acrylic Werks sample and results

Listen, I got a critical review by Bruce because my photos were not exactly up to "testing" standards, which I understand coming from a guy like Bruce who does heavy research for a living, but where is he now?

I mean look at the "before" and "after" photos of the cars posted here by Mark. They show nothing of the "finished" result but a far away shot and not even at the same angle of the "before". I mean come on folks if I, or another, had posted these shots of "before" and "after" then we would of been "roasted"!

All in all what it comes down to is if the buying customer is happy and if they can also achieve the same results as Mark did, which is the difficult part. I mean Mark is an expert at applying AW and can get great results because he is so familiar with all the do's and don'ts but I don't believe this transfers well to the general public.

I have a whole shelf of products. In my hobby, AW would just be another polish/wax/whatever. For the guys getting demo'd to, it seems to be the first product that opens their eyes to the possibilities.

IMO, these are very different marketing situations.

Again, all the best to you and your family, Mark. Your results will always speak louder than your words. May the preponderance of beautiful cars be your testament.

Anthony, I have sent young men and women home with AW after a demo and they did achieve very good results. These are young people in the military who had just purchased their first vehicles and wanted to make that used car look nice again. I really take my time during the demo to teach first and long timers how to do this. Long timers involves changing their application habits. But, this is why each customer gets my Toll and Cell Phone numbers. If they have questions I try to make myself available anytime. If they are not sure they remember the process then I will invite them back, or if time permits I will go to them so we can do the hood together. I will put them on one side and me on the other and I will coach them step by step thru the process. In that short time the customer will definately have a handle on the process. There is a lot more to this, than just selling the product. I've got a customer from FT. Sam Houston who I sold a bottle to about three weeks ago. This guy stayed absolutely stone faced through the entire demo, but he bought a bottle, which caught me by suprise. He came back 2 days later and bought two more bottles. He said he called a few friends back in Arkansas and they wanted try some. He went home last week and did some demos and came back and asked what kind of price I could give him if he needed 40 Bottles. I took care of him. Now he and his brothers want to know how they can secure distribution rights in Arkansas. This question came sooner than I was ready, but it has definately made me pick up the pace. So, here is a guy I demo'd for the first time 3 weeks ago and he has managed to demo and sell 40 btls. on his own. He did this with no knowledge that I could adjust the price for him. Nice day to all.

Mark,

I think that's great for you as you are a hard worker and for your product to do well is fantastic. I have always said that there is a place I am sure for AW in detailing.

My beef is with the claims. It will not remove, as far as I have seen, swirls and repair paint damage and or blemishes. After more experimentation with it I may find out it can. I will again state that AW might do well for an already properly prepped finish but it will not repair paint problems all alone, at least not to the standards most pros on this and other forums expect.

I can't seem to get any agreement with you on this, if youhave stated this then I apologize for overlooking it.

You also have a good day and enjoy the rain.

Anthony and others,

Just wanted to say I appreciated your efforts in keeping the testing focused on the overall performance of this product, and leaving the personality's out of it.

I have followed the progress since it's beginning on another forum.

No matter how you sneak up on a mirror . . . . . . . . .

:spot Not much to do today so I am looking up old threads and man did this one bring back memories :)

What I found to be really and truly humorous was the posts by Mark on page 5. He said he would post up pics of his work on some cars, which he did do, but there has been a mix up of pictures on older threads, when Autopia went down, so the pictures that are there now are great! This is a classic "blooper".

Man... if Acrylic Werks could really make cars look that good, and if Mike uses it then I am sold!! :LOLOL :rofl

Anthony

PS - Here is a thought....where are the pics that SHOULD be here??

They're probably is another goofy placement buried in some other thread. I've seen some pretty funny incongruent photos as a result of the outages also. I had to do a double take before I realized what had happened. :chuckle:

Hello to all. Yes, I'm (Mark G.-Acrylic-Werks) still here but I have been very busy. A lot has happened since I last responded to this forum; My wife was Commissioned as a US Naval Officer on November 26, 2003. Second, we moved to Bethesda, Md., June 2004, a year after we purchased our home in San Antonio, Tx. Unfortunately, my Father passed away from pancreatic cancer, Jan. 2005. We bought a new house in Suffolk, Va., Feb 2005 when my wife got her orders for Norfolk Naval Base as the new Health Radiation Officer aboard the USS Theodore Roosevelt. Unfortunately we had just moved in when my wife's Mom (Slupsk, Poland) also succumbed to pancreatic cancer in July 2005. All this moving and dealing with personal tragedy has kept us very busy. Tonight, while my kids are sleeping and my wife is on sea duty for the next 6+ months I actually took a look at the Forum for the first time in what seems like ages. Needless to say, even I found it humorous, all the twist and turns. Guys after re-reading the 8 pages of post I owe you guys an apology. I shouldn't have come to this site and tried to push my polish. Now that things have settled down and we have finally settled in, I will hopefully be setting up a Demo stand at Norfolk NB in the very near future (at least ahead of the winter snow) so I can get back into the swing of things. I have not set up the stand since May 2003, but the web-site has kept the business going. You guys have a nice night and I wish all the best to you, your families and business.
