My first Zaino Detail

I was actually looking into getting a 300C and a BMW 3 series, then my wallet came up a little on the short side, LOL. I was seriously thinking of the 300C with a Hemi, gosh ::drool:: but I decided against that and NOT have any car payments, so I ended up with a Mazda (oh well, no car payments to make! woohoo!)

I also just use Zaino whenever I can on my car (my wheel and tire cleaner is not Zaino though.) Zaino expensive? Yeah maybe a little more than normal run of the mill products, but its not that bad if you drop a large sum of money on a car. Whats $150 for a few chemicals that will last 2-3 years of use? I know for sure I spent a lot more than that on just towels in the past 3 years. I am still new to owning a car (been on Autopia since 1999, but finally bought my first car 3 months ago) but it cost me a lot of money and I will do everything I can to preserve it. Sure I can spend $20 for an oil change at the jiffy lube, but I make it a point to drive back to the dealership and have them service my vehicle because they know me as the dude with the Tribute that brings his own Mobil 1 oil and has a really shiny car.

Sure some Zaino zealots give Zaino uses a bad name, but there are open minded ones who have tried close to everything in terms of car detailing. Do I really need 10 different type of waxes? NO, but its all apart of trying out stuff until you find something you like. I like and strictly use Zaino on my car.

/end rant. Again your car is HOT!

I really do not get it Gary?

Zaino is not at all expensive in reference to anyone's budget. Heck NXT, BF, UPP, WG all cost about $15. P21S- $24. Klasse SG ~$20. Pinnacle Souveran $70. Where's the logic?

If 10% of elite detailers like Zaino and swear by it what about the devoted 90% that will only use wax based products? Are they brainwashed, short-sighted, frugal, and cultic in nature also?

Of course not.

This post was about a gentleman detailing his wonderful new 300C (love the color, detail and that grill (Bentley) really sets it off :xyxthumbs ).

There was not one single Zaino promoting post. Just. WOW your 300C looks great.

This is not a personal attack but your comments about Zaino seems to be more Zainophobic than factual. JMHO. :sosad

Nice pics, (great car) But I'm sorry you have been lured into the "Z" world of cult followers. They love to extract $$$ from your wallet. visit the 300c forums , www.300cforums.com
Awfully nice of you to recommend a site where you're a "Supporting Vendor" . . .

Just a follow up post now that I see more responses. I'm not saying be cheap on spending your dollars on detailing, just be SMART!!!!! One of my segments in my seminars is the $800 paint sealant. Dealers around me are charging upwards of $600-900 to paint seal your car. Is it better? of course it is. according to what Im hearing hear, you should spend the $800, heck why sacrifice for your car right? I teach people how to professionally care for their cars for less $$$$. I can't argue with people that want to waste their money. If that is your choice, spend away. I cator to people that want the same expertly detailed finish for less $$$$> That to me is being smart. Zymol is making car wax (not sealant) at prices from $40-$1,300 for their esate glazes. The people paying hundreds of dollars for car wax don't think twice about it, that is what Im getting at. Thier is little information around telling poeple honest/ hard core facts in the technical aspects of detailing. That's what has made me successful. bringing real info to the weekend detailer. I'm not arguing at all, but I can see how insistant some people are on over spending when they don't have to. I wish I had that kind of money to throw around. Gary

So are you saying Zaino's a waste of money? I find it a pretty good value. I don't buy it for the hype. I use it because it performs the way I like it to. I've spent lots of $$$ trying all sorts of products, but I keep going back to Z. Is there something wrong with that??

I've cleansed the thread of all the crap resulting from the thread-jack. Any more off-topic posts in this thread will result in a timeout for the poster.
