My first Zaino Detail

Detailed my 2005 Chrysler 300c with Zaino.



Including rims, under hood, trunk and door jams.





The 10 hour detail included:



Wash with Duragloss 903 car wash by foam gun.

Clay using blue Clay Magic.

Cleaned the paint with ZPC Fusion by PC.

Polished with 3 layers of Z2Pro w/ZFX by hand.

Applied Z8 Grand Finale between each layer of Z2Pro.

Cleaned glass inside/out with Stoner Invisible Glass.

Treated the tires with Wolfgang Black Diamond Tire Gel.



Showered twice (sure is hot/humid here in Florida)

I can sure appreciate the time spent on the 300. Ten hours to make it look as it does seems to justify it though. NICE JOB!



I see that you have the HEMI. Nice! My wife did not want all the power that a hemi produces so we got a smaller engine. Yet, she told me just the other day that when it is time to go around something the power seems to be there.



If you have not checked out the 300C forum sign on and read about other 300 owners. It is a good site.



Did you paint the mudflaps your self? I did. I think that it just makes a good looking car better.



As far as the Zaino goes use it if you like it. My wife is happy with the results of Zaino so for me the Zaino is the way to go. Dollars be damned!

I dont get it. We spend big buck$ buying a car and we should cheap out when it comes to detailing it?

The 300 looks beautifull. It "reflects" all the hard work.
 
I guess I should clarify what I was getting at. I apologize for not offering a full response. Since I teach auto detailing all around the Mid West of IL and focus on consumer education in the car care arena, I have run into a few things that bother me. I can;t say this about all Z users, but for at least the amount I have run into at my clinics, they have been close minded when it comes to products other than Z. I was going to speak at the Viper Club of Chicago a few years ago, and the program director asked me not to talk about any other products unless it was Z. So I covered Micro fiber towels and clay car, that bothered me. That is what reminded me of a type of cult, when one product overshadows all others. In that sense Z is a great marketing company, and hats off to them for that. But in my position, I look out for the end user and try to offer alternatives and better choices. Zain O, no offense intended, and yes I do offer products to many people on a variety of forums. Not one product is my own however, so I don't endorse any one product. It is my belief that no company makes a full line of products that stand out, however many reputable companies make a hand full of products that do shine. Its my job to find the cream of the crop. Thanks, I really like my 300c. All the work is well worth it.



Actually I joined www.300cforums.com in Sept 04 and logon several times a day. I also like www.lxforums.com.



A friend works for a local Chevy dealer and I had the splash guards and engine cover painted by their body shop guy on his off time.

Just a follow up post now that I see more responses. I'm not saying be cheap on spending your dollars on detailing, just be SMART!!!!! One of my segments in my seminars is the $800 paint sealant. Dealers around me are charging upwards of $600-900 to paint seal your car. Is it better? of course it is. according to what Im hearing hear, you should spend the $800, heck why sacrifice for your car right? I teach people how to professionally care for their cars for less $$$$. I can't argue with people that want to waste their money. If that is your choice, spend away. I cator to people that want the same expertly detailed finish for less $$$$> That to me is being smart. Zymol is making car wax (not sealant) at prices from $40-$1,300 for their esate glazes. The people paying hundreds of dollars for car wax don't think twice about it, that is what Im getting at. Thier is little information around telling poeple honest/ hard core facts in the technical aspects of detailing. That's what has made me successful. bringing real info to the weekend detailer. I'm not arguing at all, but I can see how insistant some people are on over spending when they don't have to. I wish I had that kind of money to throw around. Gary
 
I seriously doubt that any Zaino users will be lining up for Kool-Aid.

I heard about Z a couple of years ago on an Explorer forum. I used it and found exactly what I was looking for in an auto paint protection system. I cant detail year around so I need the longevity of Z. The shine, ease of use ect. are added bonuses.

If I moved to a state where I could detail all year I would try other products. The Northern MidWest, including IL, isnt the area to be worrying about detailing in Jan.
 
Zane O, what you just did to me on the other fourm is about the most unprofessional if not the most disgusting thing I have ever seen in all the years I have been a pro. For the record, I would NEVER drop to that level and post on another forum and bash someone. That was uncalled for. Does that give you kicks? By slamming a fellow detailer? Why can't we leave the threads right here where they belong, slam me here, kick me, curse me, but to go around my back to another forum is sickening. gk

Not really. First you automatically lament the fact that someone becomes a Zaino user and then you try to preach an open mind. Then you say that Zaino is a good marketing company when they in fact do no marketing at all (except for their very simple website). Then you use the Zymol Estate Glazes and $600 dealer paint sealants as an example to demonstrate your initial point about how you lament the fact that someone became a Z user.



Things have been cleared up alright. Sure, a lot of Z users outside of Autopia can be very rash and deserve the Zaino zealot label, but I also wonder why some folks like you have to bring the anti-Zaino argument here? Zaino along with a bunch of other relatively expensive products like Souveran will be popular for quite some time.... I'm sorry to see that you're having such a tough time dealing with it.
