Detailing Stare
I fonally got a chance to try Trade Secret. Last weekend I used AIO for the first time and then topped with Wolfgang's sealant. This week I washed and applied two coats of Trade Secret. I like it.

Sweet! :mohawk

How well did the wolfgang take the topper? I'm thinking off putting an s100 topper on my wolfer :lmfao

kee,

Nice! Very nice indeed! Additional coats of TS are "neat"! :D

Thanks guys.

dalmore, the TS went on super easy and came off super easy and I thought the WG's took the TS very well. Did the WG's on the wife's car a couple weeks ago and then applied Liquid Souveran. That took very well also.

Looks great KEEOTEE. Now you got me wanting to top my UPP with TS even more. But I am gonna wait till I get a few layers on it first.

Nice work there keeotee, great looking depth:cool

The TS is very easy to work with and it is amazing just how little is needed to cover a large area.

On the Liq. Sov. I would be wary on what I use that on top off since it may contain heavier solvents than a paste carnauba and may remove or degrade what it is being applied on top of.

Great work!
Anthony

Thanks Anthony :)

In fact I was telling my wife (she is very gracious and pretends to care so much :) ) that after two coats and looking at the jar, it seemed as though barely any was used at all and that the jar was likely to last a very long time.

Hadn't realized or thought of that about the Liquid Souveran - appreciate the advice! With that in mind, what sealants can the Liquid Souveran be applied to without the degrading effect? Any?

keeotee,

Tell your wife that one tub of TS should last at least 2 or more years if applied every 6 weeks or so for a 2 car family:wait

I can get at least 25 to 30 cars, perhaps more, out of one tub so the return on my initial investment of $30 is ten fold!!

In regards to the Liquid Souveran it would be hard to tell exactly how much effect (if any at all) it has on a sealant. The combo I use and get great results with when working with LS is I lay down some AIO then the LS and then top that off with TS. Give that combo a try and see how you like it, I get some very nice wet looking silvers with this trio.

Happy Detailing,
Anthony

Thanks for the reply and info Anthony - much appreciated. Yea, once she saw the TS she said "I want that on my car too"!! :)

I"ll have to give your AIO, LS and TS suggestion a try sometime this summer. That does sound really cool.

kee,

I agree with Anthony. I wouldn't top the sealant with LS. However, alternate coats of LS, and TS would also be very interesting. I've seen alternate coats of LS/Souveran, and it looks "WILD"............. and yes, the LS will probably remove some of the product it is being layered on. Of course, using a product that has some cleaning ability is not necessarily a bad thing. Carnabua's in particular, are subject to really holding on to dirt/contaminates. Even washing, and/or S & W may not always get everything off/out of a layer/layers of carnauba. I've seen it under magnification (damn jewelers loope anyhow :D ). So, a little cleaning of the surface/coating is probably a good thing. It doesn't make sense to put a protective coating on top of contaminates.

Well, you guys have me going now! I'm about to go out and finish up the thrid coat of Trade Secret on the truck. Put on a coat of the Liquid Souveran this weekend on the wife's car. Shortly here I will go ahead and top it with the Trade Secret.

Then we're taking them up the hill for some side-by-side pictures.

And of course I will post some!

Question though... what about the Souveran paste wax? Would that be more like the Trade Secret in that it wouldn't remove any other product on which it was layered on top of?

TS and LS w/TS - pics Updated

Added a third coat of Trade Secret to the truck and topped the Liquid Souveran on the wife's car with a coat of Trade Secret. Actually, her car has two coats of Souveran - one was applied two weeks ago.

Disregard the wheel wells as I didn't have time to do them. The sun was getting pretty low in the sky, and I've tried to show the comparison between the two as best I could.

First one is of the truck hood with the third coat of TS.

NOw that's a shiny little RED Pickup. Excellent job. What a reflection. I love an overcast day for detailing.
