My First Paint Detail

Well, I've been lurking here for a while and have really learned alot. So, I figured it was time I gave it a try. I've read on here it was hard to make silver really shine so I was reluctant at first, but I thin kit came out pretty well.

Sorry, no before pics...I didn't think about photos until I was done. It wasn't too bad though. Some light swirls and just lacked that "pop".

Yeah, I hang out over there quite a bit also. I figured if I'm going to od the truck, i might as well make it look nice as well.

I hear ya. :howdy

I used to be on trailvoy too, but they banned me about a year ago. (And the reason? Of all things, it was the detailing advice/info I was posting that got me banned!) These are my two children....I mean trucks:

And another guy from trailvoy whose truck I've done quite a bit of work on:

OK, sorry to hijack the thread.... back to the business at hand! I did have one suggestion for you: Next time, you may want to consider applying (and/or removing) the #7 with the PC and a finishing pad. By hand I know #7 can be a real pain to work with; might as well make it easier on yourself.:D

God I love those trailblazer SS's. What kind of Mileage are you getting with those?

I wouldn't know.... it's a buddy's truck, not mine. I just work on it fairly often. I think he said it was getting 12-14 MPG most of the time, though. :)

oN the bottle it said "do not let dry on vehicle". I'm not fast enough to apply it, then pick up the PC and take it off before it dries...(unless I use all 3 hands!):D

Should I let it dry before removing?
