My First Mercedes...

Oldie but Neubie
Hey Guys,

I just a a job for this weekend to work on a Mercedes CLK class. The customer requested that the head liner be cleaned since there are noticible dirty spots on it plus he's a smoker.....dirty mainly by the side windows.

Being that the headliner is a material i've never cleaned on a benz, I was wondering how to go about it... It's not very dirty, just could use a good cleaning to look new again.... any help would be greatly appreciated!

My personal experience with this product is limited. I have used it in my Z one time with great success. I used it on the sunvisors after removing to seatbelt stickers. Worked good and sunvisors are the same material as the head liner in my case.

No problem get some APC mixed on 10/1 water to APC in a spray bottle...with a clean MF towel or white clean terry towel....spray the APC on the towel folded and wipe that head liner down...gently you do not need allot of pressure...on the heavier soiled areas....you might need to work those areas over a bit more or go stronger APC on spots if you have any.....Do not get the HL real wet as it can break down the glue that will make it come loose....I've yet to have any problems cleaning the HL this way its lifted ink, smoke stains, soda, you name it.

As Budman said all purpose cleaner...I have a citrus based one but any 409 type cleaner mixed 10/1 will work

i would use resolve in an aerosol spray bottle, this stuff penatrates and foams and DOESNT leave a soapy residue like apc's
i love this stuff
