Well...after reading for about 2 months about this disease called detailing i decided to try and do my car.

I managed to get 90-95% of the defects. It was kinda hard to spot them

Be gentle, this is my first polish...ever ! :thumb:

This is the first part : Paint correction

Foam via Karcher (Waiting for that AB lance :( )

CG Extreme Strong Wash + Benz Tar remover

CG Citrus Wash & Gloss via 2 bucket method

CG Claybar + Luber

Washed it again

Dried using Miracle Towel and compressed air

Taped using 3M

Menzerna SIP 2 passes on orange pad via PC at speed 5

Menzerna Po106ff 1 pass on white pad via PC at speed 5

CG Jetseal 109 x 2

CG 50/50 x 1 (Got tired :p)

Polished exhausts with P21S

It seems i also need to read alot about taking photos...forgive my lack of skill

Wheels, wheel wells and interior are next.

Thanks guys !

I will post some outside "proper" pictures once the detail is complete. Just wanted to show some paint correction and the 109 + 50/50 combo.

Wheels, wheel wells and interior left.

Nice! Any photos further away than 1-2 feet :hmph:

Agreed - close ups are good, but need to get a feel for the overall look of the ride - the 6-10' perspective. Often angular shots down the side, head ons, etc.

Very nice work, especially for your first time polishing!

Any outside shots so we can see the SL55 in her full glory?

Well...today it was time to do the trunk and a full interior.

Stripped everything out from the trunk and cleaned it with APC and a work towel

Thank you guys, i'm really proud that i managed to do this from first try :)

Well...it's ready. Got a second coat of 50/50 on it today and off to taking pictures. The pictures don't do it justice but here it goes.

Really really need to learn how to take proper pictures and get off the "auto" mode :(
