My first Click & Brag Post, my '05 Honda Element

Okay, it was in pretty decent shape already, but need some scratch removal and minor swirl removal.

After about four hours with the PC, using first some SSR 2.5 for the scratches, then SSR 1 for the swirls, I went to EX-P topped with 3 coats of Nattys Blue by hand.

Over all, I'm happy. Still some minor swirls I haven't been able to get out, but they're only visible in very bright sun or under flourescents.

Sorry, no befores, but odds are the defects wouldn't show too well in photos anyway:

I still have some work to do on the plastic trim and wheel wells, but ran out of time today.

Thanks for any comments :)

Way nicer than any Element that I have seen in this town. Beautiful job, good click & brag.

Is your Element black or dark blue? Saw some bluish areas.

It's black. The bluish areas are probably reflections or poor lighting :)

Thanks!

Actually, unless I am mistaken on the Elements, Honda does not use a true black. They have a midnight black pearl or something with tiny blue flakes in it that are only visible at certain angles and lighting.

Again, maybe the Element has true black, but no other new Honda's do.

You're correct. It's called Nighthawk Black Pearl. The blue flake only shows up if you're at exactly the right angle.

Looks nice.

I have the same paint on my daily driver. Be careful washing because the clear is pretty soft.
