Well , as promised I was going to test the FK1 products, but got delayed due to hurricane Frances. Well here is the writeup and pictures

OK

I had already done the FK1 decontaimination steps abput 4 weeks ago along with one of their sealants #218 by hand.

Step #1

So today I applied the #218 sealant which has mild cleaning properties and a conditioner with the porter cable on speed 5 with a polishing pad

Step #2

Then I applied the FK1 #2180 Ultra Sealant which is similar to #218 but less the cleaners and with more SHINE properties. I applied this with my porter cable on speed 2 with a finishing pad.

Step #3

I applied the FK1 Pink Wax (Carnauba/Polymere blend) by hand. this stuff goes on super easy and comes off just as easy.

And below is a link to the final product. Click the link and all the photos will be there to select. Too many photos to post in this thread. P.S. The "A" missing from the PONTIAC was replaced after I took these photos, I was changing it because the vinyl was coming off.

let me know what you think guys.

**the pictures look better if you make them full size in Internet Explorer**

OK, it suddenly started working for me too. I suspect it's an AOL thing....it was an AOL error screen I got before. Anyhow, it's OK now.

Since I am on dial up, I only looked at a couple of pics, but they looked pretty good! Very nice glow for white. :)

Please keep us updated on the durability.

Matt dont hate cuz my cars faster than yours !!!!:shocked

I really like the FK1 products, the shine is pretty good considering I didnt use any kind of glaze like vanilla moose under the sealants.

The Pink wax DEFINATLY added a wet look to the car. Im going to add a few more coats over the next week or two and see how it holds up for about a month or so. Then I am going to strip it off and try another combination.

I just got my SR1 and SR2.5 , vanilla moose, EX-P, Natty's Paste wax, and Pinnacle Paste Glaz ( the Glaz smells amazing and it has a bright yellow glow to the wax too )

I was thinking about doing VM, EX-P, then Natty's as my next combo. And I am going to test the VM,EX-P, Pinnacle PG on a friends silver 350Z:bow

Don't waste your time on Lisa's car....she'll probably take it to a drive-thru car wash and strip everything off anyways.

Pretty nice, especially on white. Did you get the 146 too?

I got the 146 and the 425

One thing about FK1 is there are a few products that have nearly the same use. Its actually kind of confusing sometimes.

146 and 425 are quick detailers. But 146 is for dirty cars. 425 is to be used on already clean cars that might have finger prints of smudges on it. both leave a polymere coating. so which one do I take with me to a car meet incase my freshly washed car hits a puddle ??????:nixweiss

so far I cant tell the difference between the 2 as far as quick detailing goes and the shine left behind. But I also wash my car twice a week so I usually use the 425 as a wax refresher after the wash.
