My find at Home Depot

I was on the look for some halogen lights and went here and there trying to find it, then decided to go to Home Depot and while looking aisle to aisle and happened to pass by the vacuum aisle, and found this vac and purchased it

The fun part about this is that it was on clearance for $57.00 on clearance(reg. $75.00 +tax) and no tax, because the government decided to make a tax free days after a huge rainfall we had in here, so everybody could buy stuff. Not sure if this clearance is at all HD's, but might as well you guys take a look to make sure.

That's the same vac that I've had for a couple of years. It works well and I haven't had any serious issues with it. Just be careful if you use it as a blower. My hose doesn't clip on well to the exhaust port and a couple of times the hose ended up coming off. Regardless you got a sweet deal on it!

The filters are about $10 a piece which isn't terrible but to prolong their life and make cleaning them much easier I fit a stocking over the filter. This keeps most of the stuff from getting embedded in the filter. It's as easy as removing the stocking and blowing it out a bit with the compressor to clean it. This helps a ton when doing my neighbors vehicle which is usually filled with dog hair.

No problem!

:nixweiss One from my fiancee's stocking drawer :cooleek:

I just cut it in half then stretched it over the filter being sure it didn't interfere with the rubber gasket.

i wonder if its on clearance here too, its not listed on home depots website anymore, i know i saw it there a couple days ago.

I have the same vac, and love it. Thinking about the filter issue look into K/N maybe they sell a reuseable car air filter that is the same size:nixweiss

i wouldn't be surprised if the husky brand (exclusive to HD like ridgid IIRC) wet/dry vacs start replacing a few ridgids here and there...

I just went to HD to purchase a WD4050 and saw that it is now replaced with the WD4070, the WD4070 has two wheels, and does not need the air diffuser.

I called Rigid and verified the WD4070 replaced the WD4050. HD has a 90 return if you want to swap it out for the new model.

It must be really new because I do not see it listed on the Rigid site or the USA homedepot site, but they do have them in the USA HD stores.

Its $79.99 in the store.
