Maybe sell it? I don't know if all that junk will ever come off, but I would be willing to give you $500 for the truck as is, and give it a try. :D

Seriously, the wand type spray wash or even a touchless drive-through, won't take all the film off. If you can get a warm day or a warm place to work, you could go to the spray wash, then finish it with either a bucket wash, QEW or Spray & Wipe. With most of the heavy gunk removed at the spray wash, you shouldn't have to work on it too long to finish up.

One thing that was pointed out to me recently, it takes moisture and warmer temperatures for the salt to do its worst damage. You might be just as well off to wait until you get better weather.

I'm not sure I could do that though. I probably would feel just as you do, I wanna wash my truck.

For washing I put on Polartec gloves and used "lineman's gloves" over them. Hands were cold but not frozen.

Car was sitting in direct sun at about 30 degrees out.
Thats about how it is right now where I am. I have to go out around 1PM, so I was thinking about hosing it down right before, then taking it out (since I'll be on the highway the water will dry off).

I was auctally wondering if the fact that it is really sunny outside was a bad thing. I thought sun + water = water spots?

If not I'm going to go hose it down real good now, and hope the thing doesn't freeze up (its warming up though, so I should be ok)

LOL! I just went outside, everythings dry, its much better than before, but on the hood, well there were spots where the water still didn't go away! Just took a MF towel out there to get them up, but I have major  major  water spots on the hood now :nixweiss

Well, they aren't that bad but i do have a bunch of water marks. shouldn't be that hard to remove them when i get the time.

Wash it and move to Phoenix!!!

Seriously - Our Odyssey looked about like that on Saturday. I took it to a coin operated wash and used the high pressure washer to get the majority of the dirt off.

Then I went home to my garage and used Spray and Wipe (thanks to this forum) to get the remaining film off.

It looked really good.

Then we drove it the next day and messed it up again.

I can't win!!!

I know the feeling my truck looked similar to that before yesterday. It got to 40 degrees here in CT so I brave the elements and went out and hand wash it and dried it completely then put it i the garage and polished it with #7 and put a coat of P21S on it.

Ahhhhhhh its shinning again, oh what a feeling!!!!! :D

It's threads like these that remind me of how lucky I am to live in sunny So Cal. Yesterday, the only thing I had to do to clean up my Honda Civic was the CCD followed by a QD session followed by a quick wipe of the windows & the wheels. Car looked perfectly clean & shiny in less than 30 minutes!
