Looks like a lot of wasted money on many products you'll probably never use. But we all have to start somewhere and for a starter collection it's not bad. But remember it's never about how "Big" your collection is... Its how you use it ;) Smaller more defined collections are always more desireable than having 10,000 bottles of stuff that'll just sit on the shelf collecting dust.

I'm sure that made him feel real good!!!

Consider it freindly advise. I'm not cutting anyone down by any means at all. Just stating facts. I (and tons of other guys on here as well) have been a part of this learning curve as well. I have tons of products on my shelves as well that I know full well I'll never use. I now know what very specific products I need to use in my shop. My list is small and effective. Saves me tons of time and money. In no way should anything in that be considered a cut down to someone ego... Guess there are just way to many sensitive people on these boards that need their ego stroked instead of actually taking good advise when they see it...

The thing is he didn't ask for advice.. he's merely showing off his products...

That would be like me posting a picture of the house I may be building and someone saying.. "do you really think you need all those bedrooms, you have a wife and one kid what are you going to do with 6 bedrooms etc etc etc..."

Two things, NICE ice chest...GO TIGERS!!!

And what is the pvc rack for?

Hanging bottles and drying mf/towels & waffel weaves?

As for what the other guy Jake posted about all the stuff, if you look thru this thread that is over 37 pages long, you will see most people do the same thing...I have old stuff, new stuff I hear about on here, close out stuff, it just piles up. Their are just too many brands for someone to say ok, all detailers need this, this, and this, and thats all, period. Its like buying clothes, they all bascially do the same but some make you look better than others...but ya never know until you try them....good job!

he actually doesn't have that much, he has two lines that he uses. He uses XMT and Meguairs and I really think he'll end up exhausting that supply of stuff over the course of one season detailing.

Hardly so my friend. Sometimes we have to spend that money on products to further our conviction to better stuff.

I have products I've purchased and never used, but I wouldn't call it wasted money...it's part of the learning process.

You would know he doesn't use the products he has? Did you drive down to Baton Rouge and watch him work? I'd say he has a very good selection of products, much better than was available when I started out. If you can't say anything nice don't say anything at all Jakey.

If you've never used them, how would it convince you? If that's your angle, I have TONS of empty bottles to sell you. I refill them with conviction and confidence. Wanna make an offer?

What was your purpose for this post? Sounds pretty condescending to say the least.

Nice collection AJ.

Hey man if you ever make it out this way (Covington) let me know. I have some Meg's stuff that I'd be willing to part with such as Gold Class Wax and some other stuff. I'm willing to donate to the addiction :woot2:

Isn't the storage container that you have your towels in great? I've got a similiar one with two drawers and I love it!
