My Dad died this morning -

Dan
Sorry to hear about your father. From reading your post he must of been a good man. From reading your other post I would say he did a fine job in raising you and was probably an awfully proud parent.

A Time to Grieve

Dan,

I've been a nurse and worked in Hospice for quite some time & as you know there are many books dealing with death/dying/grieving process. Dealing with the deep and prolonged grief that follows a loss may well be the most painful and disturbing challenge of our lives. The book titled: A Time to Grieve- Meditations for Healing After the Death of A Loved One-- by Carol Staudacher can accompany you/ others through this difficult period.

It's easily read and touches the heart and soul of each one who reads it. I'd suggest it for all adults in particular and even for people who haven't experienced loss of family members.. It will be like a companion to all those who would liketo read thru the pages..

Grief is itself a medicine.--
-- with grief the way back is the way through.- Sincerely, softoa..(Opal).

Condolences to you and your family

Any man can be a Father; few become a real inspiration to their children, like your Father was to you.

The best way to honour his memory is to always make him proud of you and what you do

Peace

If your Father gave his life to Christ, at this moment is kicking up goldust in Heaven. He has a brand new body. No more pain. No more suffering

Now, go and be strong for your Mother and tell her you love her

hold your head up. your father lived a long and successful life. dont feel sorrow for his passing, be joyous for his living and the life you had with him..... my prayers to you and your family.

Dan,

I am sorry to hear of your loss and want to extend my condolences to your family. As I am busily dealing with the business, meetings, vendors, customers etc? it is an announcement like yours that brings me back to earth to remind me of what is important in life. I remember when I lost my father and then my mother, how it struck me that my brothers and sisters were now the end of the line. There was no one older than us in our family any longer. It was a very sobering thought. I hope you take some comfort knowing your dad was one of the ?good guys? down here on earth and you will get to see him again down the road. Take care of your mom and know we are all thinking of you.
