My Collinite and PC review

Now that's different  School me here...why do that combo?

I'm *NOT* being critical, I just can't imagine topping the UPP on my S8 with 845 (and I do like 'em both). I like the look and the slickness of UPP so much, I'd just *hate* to mess with it...

I don't know why I did that combo and I love 4*UPP to. I think one more extra layer for Chicago winter. But after 854 my car still looks nice and slick.

from my limited experience, when I applied 915 with my PC, it gave holograms everywhere. After my painter buffed them all out, I applied a couple coats again, but by hand, with a foam applicator pad, and it's perfect. although too dark for me, it shines nicely and not a single hologram. It HAS to be either the PC, the speed, or the white LC pad I was using, or possible 4" size?

I've had the same experience with 915/4" red/PC giving wax holograms. I think I was using speed 2-3. I've done some cars this way with no problem, but I can see some holograms on my red truck using this.

Heh heh, I appreciate you candor :D

OK, the winter aspect of it makes a difference; UPP doesn't stay too slick for very long IME and the 845 might be a much better LSP for winter use.

here are some pics I took today just so you can see the type of color and paint it is on. It has about 3 coats of 915 on it, the first 2 with PC and the last, yesterday, by hand.

so what should i buy to lighten and brighten my car? .. Any suggestions?

Additional burnishing/jeweling polishing after it's already seemingly perfect and an LSP like UPP, FK1000P, or maybe Zaino.

I haven't used 915, it should be somewhat easier to work with than 476/885, since it's mostly carnauba.

I love 476/885 as a winter wax, topping with 845 for a little better look. I put it on this year over DWG (well cleaned) and prior layers of 476. I've gone to using a damp shop towel, putting the 476/885 on as thin as I can. If you put more than a thin layer on, you'll have a lot of work to do to get it off.
