My Civic - From begining to end....

Alright today I did some more polishing. I did almost the whole car, I just have the pass. door and rear quarter panel and front bumper left to do. I'm still learning alot and have alot still to learn.

So here are some pics from today....

OS let sit for about 2 hours then applied one coat of s100

Looks like your doing a good job. I actually have a 96-98 Civic VIS carbon fiber hood im selling and im in Bowling Green, KY. Its not perfect but it looks just as good if not better than when I got it brand new. It just sucks because carbon fiber body parts just never turn out perfect when its made

I sent you a PM :)

This is coming along great! I can't wait to see the finished product. How are you liking the Menzerna? Have you chosen your LSP yet?

Yeah, looks good. Do i see that you have a garage that can fit 2 cars( one behind the other)?

yeah its a two by two.

LSP: I'm trying different products out. I really like Opti Seal with s100 overtop. I'm going to try more stuff though.

You're a lucky one to have soft Honda clear :) The car is coming out great. Keep up the good work and trying new things out. I'm curious to see what the final result will be.

I got myself a CF hood thanks to EJ8tunerman....Going to try to go pick up this weekend. Ill be sure to post pics. Need to lay another layer of s100 down too

OK we got a little sunshine here today so I decided to snap a few pics in the natural sunlight. The passenger side has not been polished yet so thats why there are no pictures of that side.

I really need to get the dent out in the lower part of the door, and the one right behind the door. I hope PDR is possible with them.

Car was polished with SIP and 106FF (Need to go over it again as I don't think I corrected to the full potential...still learning). Then did optiseal and one coat of s100 (more to come).

Car looks nice and clean, great work. It's nice to see a Civic that isn't butchered... those are too few and far between, sadly.

Those SSRs are the bee's knees when it comes to AutoX, especially with the nice rubber you got there. Is that 1.6T badging from a Volvo?

Nice work on that Civic! My 1st car was a Black 00 Si, so I have love for those coupes. :) Also good to see function over form with those SSR Type C wheels. Gotta love 8lbs a piece!

Yeah the badge is actually a 1.9T badge from Volvo. I just flipped the nine.

Thanks for the wheel comments. Most people say they are to small (15") but I tell them like you said function of fashion. I actually run some nicer rubber than whats on the those wheels right now for auto-x.

Kuhmo VictoRacers on the top and bottom (run those in the rear) and Kuhmo V710s in the middle. Believe it or not the V710's are alot sticker even though all the rocks seems to be stuck to the VictoRacers.

While we are on the topic of wheels and tires here are my Gold Lenso Drag wheels (were originally white but scratched to hell so I painted them) with MT wrapped around them.

Also this weekend I think I'm going to tackle the front bumper. It is REALLY beat up. The front bumper alone will probally take me close to half day to clean up and polish. I'll post more pics of it tomorrow.

Hey man I am glad your happy with that hood. It looks like it turned out pretty good. Your car is looking great! Hopefully I can give mine an ONR and take some pics and post them up in a C&B this week.

I'd like to add *my* :xyxthumbs regarding the wheels too. It pays to be practical when it comes to street-use wheel/tire combos; gotta consider your road conditions.

Ha! I make myself proud sometimes. :nana:

FWD drag cars always look funny with the large M/T tires on front.
