Just picked her up and detailed her on Saturday. Its an amazing car, that is all i can say. Its fully loaded except for smg and pdc. I detailed it with Klasse Aio topped with Pinnacle Souveran. Enjoy!

I don't think amazing quite does it for a car of this calibre. Great combo with the AIO and PS. Thanks for sharing with us!

I really like those wheels. They are a little different than past years but I like them alot. Did you test out the SMG or just rule it out for the manual? I only ask because I had an 03 M3 this weekend, pics over at DC, with the SMG and got to drive it for a few days again. I liked it alot more than the first time I used it after being a little more patient and man does it respond and slam the gears home when you want it to. Great car either way but I am starting to come around to the whole F1 shifters, at first I was biased against them but man they shift quicker and harder than a stick.

yea actually i ruled out the smg just because it didnt have a clutch but i did drive one (well atempted, and it was harder to drive than the 6 sp haha) but i loved the fast shifts, just am used to the traditional manual.

I'd go for the manual shift over the smg. I still like to control my destiny, at least in driving. What can you say to 333 hp from 3.3 liters. It's pricey but well worth it.

hey get it right man....3.2 liters :D

The SMG is overly impressive for a clutchless transmission but all in all I think I would have favored the manual as well. There is something empowering over having more control but overall it is a real toss up with the speed of those shifts in Sport mode. I just wanted to see if you actually tested the SMG or just ruled it out from the beginning once you heard "clutchless"; I find it staggering how many people would never give it a shot. A lot of people I asked never gave the SMG a chance but if that type of tranny is good enough for Michael Schumacher I think it would be good enough for me to atleast try.

Sweet car! :up

I really like those new M3s. I don't envy you cleaning brake dust out of those wheels though. ;) I do envy your low 13 quartermile times!

hopefully high 12's when im done with it. i am at sea level and i am going to do midpipes, exhaust, intake and chip so hopefully ill see 12's easily. one drive actually took a bone stock 6 sp m3 and ran a 12.9 so i should be able to achive those. yea the wheels are going to be a pain and the black is also but im up to the task.

manawar,

What a SWEET Bimmer! :bow :bow :bow

Jet Black and dripping wet! I used to have a Jet Black 740iL and I miss not having a black car again. When it is detailed and looking good - Nothing is better!

Congrats on the new M3 and thanks for sharing pics.

Cheers,

thanks for the compliments guys.....and anyone thinking of getting one, you will not regret it, it is the most amazing car ever.

Did you get a good deal on that car - with the M4 on the way and all? Perhaps not actually, if the new one is still a bit off.

Does anyone know when they are due out?

The E90 is due out here in the UK in a couple of weeks. The Sport variant will be out in around September. Then they have to release the Touring, Coupe and Convertible before we'll see the M3 (the next generation ///M will still be called the M3, BMW decided that calling it the M4 would ruin an iconic brand). I'm number 1 on the waiting list at my dealer for one - it couldn't come soon enough! :spot

Great car manawar, I had three of them myself (a black convertible, a purple couple and a CSL). You'll absolutely love it, especially when it's broken in fully. But as Scott says, those wheels are a PITA!

Ben, how does that fit with the master plan to have all 2-door BMW's with an even series, and all 4 doors with an odd number series??

I am close to ordering a new 3-series saloon myself - to replace my E46. but to be honest I love my current car and thanks to this website it looks amazing - I'm not sure if I can justify the extra outlay for the new model.

Hmmm

Hmmm

As far as I am aware they have scrapped that idea. All varients of the new 3 Series (E90) will remain a "3". There was rumour that the coupe and convertible would be a 4 series, but I think it was shelved solely on the fact that that meant the new M3 would have to be called the "M4", and seeing that the M3 is such an iconic brand, BMW didn't want to risk upsetting the market place.

A good thing in my opinion - long live the M3!

Ben

The M3 is going to remain an M3 for the new E90 series, other than body styling it is also getting an upgraded engine, a V8 derived from the M6's V10 puching out about 400hp. The rumor about the M4 is going to be a variant of the Z4 called the Z4M, targeted at the new MB SLK55 AMG. The Z4M will be taking the current M3 engine with a few added tweaks for an anticipated 350hp. And of course the newest M to be released is the M6 which you can go see on the BMW website, a 500hp V10 that is absolutely gorgeous.

I hope this clarifies alot as there are going to be 4 vehicles tuned by BMW and carry the "M" badge. The M3, M5, M6, and Z4M. Now how long is it going to be before they announce an X5M or M7?
