New Guy here, with a black car, i got some ???'s
alright, iv'e been doing some reading around on the site for a few hours now. seems like there are some guys here that know what there doing. ok, i'll lay it out for ya. i have a 2000 BLACK mustang. the paint is starting to fade on me alittle bit. on the hood and the trunk lid are the worst spots. i keep my car as clean as i can, meaning i wash and wax reguarly. but i must be just doing something wrong. iv'e tried zymol, zaino, ext. but i just cant get that wet, wet shine like i want. what do you guess suggest that i use? anything from the tools i need(buffers, towels....) and what products you guys have had the best result with. im up for putting the time into it for the results. oh yeah, this is my daily driver too. thanks to all

Trade it in for a Camero !! :lmfao

Just Kidding, stick around, I'm sure that you will find all the answers you seek :)

Ironicly enough Your logon is a logon which I sometimes use on other boards!

Anyway ... If have a 2000 GT vert... and have had no problems w/ fading paint.... although I am 90% sure that the prior owner kept it in the garage and being that It only had 16k miles when I bought it I knew it was a only a weekend car! 16k miles on a 3 year old car!!

moving on ... where is it fading? Can you post up some pictures... Are you sure its fading?

what kind of milage do you have on the car is it garaged?

Focuedonsound is because of another hobby of mine which is car audio! I typicly use 00Blackstang as my back up if Focused is not available!!

Ironicly enough Focusedonsound origanally had a dual meaning due to my love of auto sound and the addition of my previous car a 2000 Ford Focus ZTS. After 3 years of driving the little toy as I call it now and winning a number of Auto sound events (I took first place in a number of events 1 of which I did 163db my loudest ever) I decided it was time to sell that car. I sold that and bought my 2000 GT Vert ... I wanted something that was going to be more of an audio challange (which I am still designing my audio system in) Plus I wanted something with a lot more power hp that is .... And although a coupe would have been just as nice all the laidies love the Vert!
