Out of all the time, patience, hassle, trying this and trying that, experimenting, getting our technique down and oh yes.....the $$$$$. Has anyone ever asked you........"is it worth it?" and you picture your ride and think to yourself...mmmmmm...You're damn skippy it is!!!
Yesterday at our local cruise in I recieved my best compliments since I have owned this Cobra. Two people came up and thought I had painted my old Cobra. They said it looked alot better than my old one. ( it was tight!) Then some others joined in commenting on the differance between the two.
Then we went to this Mexican restraunt. About half way through the meal, this waiter comes up and asks me, Don't you have a Black Cobra? I say yes. He says, he remembers it, and seeing mine was the reason he got a Mustang. He remembered my old one from a US BORDER cantina across town. He proceeds to point to a Black GT in the parking lot that he owns. I didn't tell him my old one was history.
See when I first got my present Cobra, it was bone stock & not exactly the way the guy described it. A coat of Turtle Wax , once a year kinda' thing..ya' know?? There was compound all over it....not in bad shape, but it definatly wasn't what I had been driving. At least it was garrage kept & driven by his wife. Smooth, but not KILLER! My old one took home 13 trophies from 14 shows. This Cobra has two firsts & a second from three shows last summer. I spent all of last year adding "go fast" goodies and pulling parts off my old Cobra.The car is almost where I want it "performance wise"now comes the visual aspect. What I didn't achieve last year.
I apologize for the long post but........I'm sort of' PUMPED!! :shocked
