My battle against Orange Peel, Altezza (IS300) No 56k!!!!

That turned out GREAT!

That's a scary job...I don't think I'd ever attempt a full body wetsand without at least a paint thickness gauge.

Totally Agree. Especially as there is no clear coat..

I didn't do the Hood as its flat enough, the sides were horrid...

Here's an example.

Wow what a job :bigups . Looks like a new paint job. I noticed the black on the polishing pads, I hope it's single stage paint you were dealing with.

Yes, no clear coat.

PCP was set to #5... yellow pad would have been better i guess, but 2 pass's of SFX-1 got things looking better than it was before i started with wetsand lol

Soon as the Klasse AIO was applied i stood back and was just amazed at the clarity! i felt like repeating the process, but as advised it doesn't benefit from layering, so proceeded to layer several coats of Klasse SG :)

Now its totally sealed i think i'll be trying some wax's.... So any suggestions for achieving the wetest deepest finish?

Maybe worth giving it another coat of Pinnacle Signature Wax...

I'm glad i did too, lol.

However... i have a full bottle of Meg's Gold Class Wax. Anyone know what kind of Carnuaba it contains? seems a waste if i don't use it, used 2 times only prior to the new make over....

Mr Singh, I am in awe. Simply in awe. I have all the same products in my garage that you show in your pictures, yet I haven't the guts to even attempt this process on a small chip repaired with touch up paint! And my car isn't even black!! You're good dude - really good.

That is a very commendable job you've done there. I would never have the guts of the patience to do something that drastic to my paint. One slick ride for sure. Nice job!

looks amazing man, really helped out a ton. im curious, what kind of sanding block did you use? Also, how long would you say you spent sanding each panel, such as a door or a fender? an hour each? 5 hours? i am really wanting to wetsand my trucks paint to kill the factory OP.

Thanks guys for all the comments.

I used a 3m block, with piece of foam between to cushion the paper. Didn't take more than 10-15mins per panel to flatten.

Using a steady stream of water from the hosepipe, clean the surface after 5 or 6 strokes to see how flat you have gone, first few strokes you will see OP with the shiny pits and flattend high level of the paint. Repeat and it should be flat.

I didn't need to do front bumper, Hood, Roof, Trunk Lid, Rear Bumper, the side panels were the parts that suffered from OP.

Not seen a IS300 without it, just depends on the owner/driver i guess how far they will go for perfection!

Obviously no clear coat was advantage for me :)

is it me, or did i miss the wetsanding products and process ??

either way, the car came out great, every time i see these wetsanding threads it makes me want to try it out :xyxthumbs

Yes i could have done a better job on the write up during Wetsand process...

Will remember next time, not that i need to do it anytime soon lol

Mr Singh I am totally in awe!!! That is top, top work!!!

I only realised you were from the uk when I saw the orange halfords 99p bucket lol!

Seeing the dull grey wet sanded area was a real shock but you brought it back really nice!

Fantastic job Mr Singh, I didn't think a job like this could be finished off with just a PC. I'm going to try this on my own car. :xyxthumbs

SINGH........as I can see by the number of replies to your post I'm not alone in saying WOW! That is some great work! You got quite a pair on you to wet sand using only a PC, I wouldn't have the guts to even attempt something like that on anything less than some junk yard heep.

I have to say it again........excellent job :xyxthumbs
