I'm looking forward to hearing back as well. I was holding off on picking up another polisher waiting to see what SEMA brought. Now I am waiting to hear about the Griot's and the Bigfoot. Hopefully I can make up my mind by spring.
 
i just got a griots 6" polisher as well. didn't realize it was a third generation. whats the difference and can you use different size backing plates with it.

I just don't see the V3 being any better (power wise) because only cosmetics have been updated?
 
I bought mine about 5 months ago how do I know if it is Gen1 or Gen2? I am gathering it is Gen2. I like mine and it seems to have more then enough power but then it is the only one I have owned and can't compare to other makes. One of the main reasons I bought it was the lifetime warranty.

Gen 1 is quite weaker than the newer G2. G3 just came out, you can tell from the redesigned housing.

I've heard mixed results, some say a few of the G2s are weaker/stronger, heard 1 review that the G3 was weaker than the strong G2. Quite hard to tell unless you've used G2/G3 both.

Then mine is the G2. I like the idea of the G3 switch being moved. It helps that I have big hands but being on the side it is kind of cumbersome. I haven't seen the complete picture where they relocated it but it looks or sounds like they moved it to the top side where it should have been all along. I would gather they moved the speed dial to the top also?
