You can use it with a PC / UDM? , now that is good information to know. Have you try it with a PC tdekany? ............Angelo

You can use all polishes with a da polisher. You may not get the same results, but very close to it.

FYI, use very little of Ultra Fina on the pc/udm.

I have used it with the pc.

I have been using the perfect it line for about 6 months now.,, swirl eliminator (the blue stuff) (ultrafina) is great... the swirl remover (grey stuff) is a little less exciting. Ive noticed it powders like crazy and it it has a real problem with sling, Its the only compound a regularly tape off a car to use. It tends to dry really fast and Ill probably not be replacing it when i run out.. But the blue stuff is an EXCELLENT finishing compound. THe blue 3M pad is a great waffle pad too. Its about as soft as a makeup sponge. As far as i can tell the SE also has an almost unlimited working time. Ive never had the SE dry up on me while working it and the results are wonderfully predictable.

Your right, the swirl remover polish does suck and the dust does not come off easy like Menzerna. How do you like the 3000 series compounds? I love them a lot.

Wow, thanks for posting that. I just spent about an hour trying to make heads or tails of 3M's website for these products. What a struggle!!!

3M also has a professional detail line for quickie detail shops that is not online. I seen it in their catalogs at my body shop supply store.

They also have an SRC polish too. I have it and it works very good. Smells horrible though.

whats a good compound between the extra cut compound 06060 and ultrafina SE?

i want to try find something in between when SIP and PO106ff doesnt work nicely.

what's the difference between the perfect it III and perfect it 3000??

The III is the older version and has silicates in it which is known to cause cancer.

The 3000 series does not have silicate in it. It's made more for the modern paints these days.

I normally use SIP. SIP usually works better after 06060 has cleaned the paint.

Personally I just placed an order for the Perfect-it 3000 Ultrafina SE, and the 3M Perfect-It

3000 Extra Cut Rubbing Compound, also looking for the new 3m blue rotary pads, I will

properly get it when I order a new set from danase the CCS 5" pads ;)

howse the trizact for finishing after extra cut compound?

will po106ff be able to remove swirl marks left by the extra cut compound?

The trizact has fillers in them. It is for spot polishing only. I would not even bother.

106 will not remove the swirl marks after the extra cut. It will look like it will, but after an IPA wipe down they will come back. I tested 5 different panels on some used cars with this and they all returned. SIP will remove them.

If you want to try something mix 20% UF with reg IP. Tell me what you think of that? I tried this on a bunch of cars and it worked excellent. Then follow with UF after to finesse to a perfect finish.

Ryan suggested this combo to me yesterday as I was working on a suby STi in dark gray. This paint is very soft and I wanted to try and one step most of the car. As usual Ryan was "spot on" I used a white CCS pad and it removed all of the defects and finished down hologram free except for a few small areas.

Backing down off of 1500 to 800 to finish out is the key here.

I also used the 3M UF/blue ccs on a black porsche the other day. Even softer clear then the STi.

Just a note using 106ff on soft clears. As Ryan told me and Todd showed me on the Black Ferrari F430 we did in FL. 106ff/white CCS and its hard abrasives will bite into softer clears and actually bog down your rotary. I had the metabo go into thermal shutdown twice on the porsche.

Whomever mentioned that they have family working for 3M, please ask when we are going to get the 6" blue finishing pads here in the US. They have them in the UK, all we have here are the 8".
