my 3M experience

They are lubricating oils. I wiped it down with straight IPA 10 times and still nothing.

Just make sure you use a blue LC pad or the 3m blue pad.

I did a black truck for a wholesale dealer 2 months ago and it still has nothing coming back. I am pretty impressed.

Ryan i am still wondering do i wait to wipe it off after buffing the paint or do i just wipe it off after the polishing process?

I use Ultrafina SE on all the black Bimmers I do. Works fantastic with their blue waffle pad, but there is oil splatter that must be wiped off quickly.

DO NOT let the Ultrafina dry hazy on the paint! Too hard to remove. I typically do a 2'X2' section (about 4-5 passes) and wipe with a soft mf. After doing a complete area like the hood I go back and wipe that down completely.

I've had BMW's done 6+ months ago and they still look great.

I was doing a black Mercedes the other day and I had to stop for an hour and I came back and it was all gummed up. It did come off, but it was tough. The first time I ever had that problem with ultrafina.

One thing I do like about Menzerna is the residue comes off very very easy along with no spatter spots to dry up. I know the 3m compound can be a pain if you get any spatter on certain trim and do not wipe it fast.

Nice!

So where to get this stuff? I want to order also the recommended compound and the rest

of the line except the swirl remover which SIP does its job anyways

I would love to know a site that sells these and the blue 3M pad and maquiers pads,

as I heard good things about the later

Look in the phone book under autobody shop supply stores. 3M should be available at 95% of them. 3M is the biggest brand out there.

I have the megs pads and I do not think they polish as great as the LC ccs pads.

So can Ultrafina be used with a PC?

'Bout time I learn to use a rotary I suppose.

I have never tried it with a pc, but I know ultrafina was designed for the rotary. I am sure someone will try it on a pc.
