now that i've had half the car re-painted, I have the pleasure of getting it back to looking like this. :D

thanks all. =] Actually right now the whole car has not an ounce of wax on it, the bodyshop did strip the whole car. :/

so, 30-45 days as prescribed by the bodyshop and I'll start the whole process again. This time will include a blitz topper. :)

Great Job! That Blue almost looks Black it's so deep and reflective. :xyxthumbs

This is really making me want to give Klasse a try!

yeah i've used quite a few things, Meguiar's system, IHG + Blitz, and I liked the Klasse look the best.

Only downside is it isn't the easiest to apply, hopefully that won't be such an issue when I finally break down and buy a PC. :)

Wow! Kudos for a job well done! It really does look fantastic! Again, that's what this website is all about. You get an A+ from this ol' guy! Enjoy!

Sure, these are about the best ones though. the one of the rear really shows the color.

JayDub...

you say that you applied 2 coats SG. Did you wait 24 hour or apply each coat one after the other?

Ryan [/b]</blockquote>Actually I didn't have the time to do so. I did them within about 3 hours of one another just because I had to get it done that sunday afternoon.

I'm going to wait the 24 hours this time though, and see how different it looks. I've got NO wax on the car now (these pics are a month or two old) so it'll be begging me for some good treatment now.

JayDub....

Now that I have your attention, PLEASE explain to me how I can takea some pictures like you blue VR6. please check out my web site: The ShowroomTouch
Look at the link titled Showroom just below the java at the top of the page. The pictures are the best I could for now. Some tips would help. Using Zaino and Klasse is a start towards good pictures. What kind of camera did you use and what are the optimal settings for your particular camera? ie. aperture, macro, flash any that may apply.

Ryan

P.S. I really need my car looking great for posting on the web. And since its the same car and color as yours, who better to ask???

the camera is an OLD Olympus D-600. Optical zoom, I don't believe it has digital zoom, but I can't recall.

That photo was taken during the day (obviously!) with no flash, no macro setting, no nothing. basically point and shoot!

it's a 1.4Megapixel camera, if that helps at all. Honestly it takes better photos than my mom's 2.4MP sony mavica.

Ok. My camera is the Olympus D150 with Digital Zoom. Maybe I am just using the wrong lighting. What time of day was it?

THe weahter seems killer where you are. A detailers dream.

I'm in Vegas, and it was a warm day, probably 70 deg. or so.

The time of day, more than likely, was around 5pm when the sun was NOT directly overhead. The car wasn't in the shade at all, but not direct sunlight. The photos were also NOT taken on Super High Quality mode, only Super Quality (medium quality basically).

There is a lower setting, which still took very good pics, just small.
