My 1st Monster Fluffy!

Other than the two towels sewn together, the descriptions I've read here and elsewhere ...(long loops, plush etc.) always bring to mind Leo's DF Concours Towel. How do these towels differ and how are they similar. Head to head comparos seem to indicate that you get more area for similar (or is it less) money with the DFT. I can't believe that I'm working this hard to justify another MF purchase

You raise good points. Regarding justification, there really is no other towel out there like it. It's very unique and in a class by itself not because it is so great, but rather it's unique size, feel and construction (all top notch).

Regarding Leo's towel (an excellent towel) again, the monster is a totally different towel. It is MUCH thicker. Regarding the fibers, Leo's towel is unique to itself whereas the Monster is like all the other MF towels but with a longer pile.

Comparing the two is like apples to oranges basically. Leo's is like fine, smooth silk and the Monster is like a fluffy, soft shag carpet (yes, it is that thick).

The only fault I may have with the Monster is that it absorbs a little too much spray on product leading to waste.

to get an idea of the difference in towels...

folded in 1/2 twice

folded in 1/2 three times

The three towels are the Concours Buffing Towel, the Der Wunder Buffing Towel and the Monster Fluffy...

I've got two dozen sitting in my garage, I love them that much

Recommended to heather about making a car cover out of them and although cost is a problem with that idea, it certainly is a good one

Somebody else suggested a pillow case cover

From my memory, DF towel is not microfibre but pima cotton

The Concours towel was nice but the threads caught far to easily for me.

Since I started using FK 425 I barely use my Meguiars buffing towel anymore. Seems redundant once that 425 surface becomes

but anyhoo, why would you need a towel that deep other than it feeling nice in your hand.

I think towels have gotten TOO big. I often find myself trying hard to keep the towels from dragging on the floor when I'm buffing the lower portions of the car car.
