multiple products on one pad?

I know that people have said don't mix products on pads, but can you use a product on a pad, wash it out thoroughly, let it dry completely and then use a completely different branded product on that same pad?

I bought a second set of SFX Pads but I am just wondering if I could use say SFX2 on my SFX2 white pad and then use let's say Mothers power polish on the same pad once its been cleand and dried thoroughly

Sure can! I do this all of the time! I use so many products I don't even want to think about how much I would have to invest in pads if I used one per product. ;)

Like you I have two sets of SFX pads, my reasoning for this is I normally have a fast turn around time between using two products that require the same type of pad.

i do it too. one of my pads is pink for SSR 1 and another is purple from PO106FF but i stilll use them with other polishes. just make sure you clean them well when finishied with them

It's alright to mix products, IMHO. So long as you clean the pad well after use.

Anyway, it is likely that the different products that you would use on the same pad would be fairly similar in terms of abrasiveness, desired result, etc. You wouldn't use a finishing pad for a heavy-cut polish, for example.

So, in my feeble mind, I say OK, if the pads are cleaned well after use.

I often mix product on the same pad. If you know what your in for, its acceptable.....

I've done this too. Like if I used SSR1 and then decided it was not doing the job and had to go to SSR2 or greater I just went to it without cleaning the pad.

I used Optimum Pol with a few drops of SSR 2.5 for more immediate cutting action, on a bumper the other day..............

I never follow recipes to the "T", Im always adding what I think may take it taste a lil better.......I share the same philosophy with detailing products.....
