Look what was at my door this morning :woot2:

PC 7424, LC pads, Meg's washing mit, and foam gun. All thanks to Chris @ eshine.ca :2thumbs:



Couple of questions tho.



1) There's a round piece of metal that came with the PC. I suppose that is the spacer mentioned in the manual. Do I use that for both the yellow LC backing pad and the one that came with the PC?

2) Is the pad that came with the PC (white), the same as the white LC pad?

No, that pad that came with the PC is reportedly junk; I've never used mine. The yellow backing pad you have should already have a spacer attached to it. Where is the nozzle for your foam gun?

The foam gun nozzle was still in the bottle. I just unpacked everything quickly and took a few pics



I have two polishes, SSR2.5 and SSR1. Would it be recommended that I have two separate pads for these products so I don't cross contaminate one pad? If so, would I need two of every pad (orange, white, black) or only a particular one?



Also, should I wash them beofre I use them?

Well, you normally wouldn't use a polish as fine as SSR1 on an orange pad, or a polish at all on the black pad, so I would only worry about having an extra white pad.

The yellow backing pad you have should already have a spacer atached to it.

Ok, just took a look at the yellow LC backing pad. Is the spacer the black piece? Because the pad that came with the PC has the same thing.

And here is what was in the bag with the wrench, which I assume is the spacer.

I don't think you need to use that fiber spacer unless there is some interference problem with the backing plate.

I never have. You might want to brush them off if you see anything on the surface.
