Garrett,
19 years ago I got married on a Saturday up in Cleveland, and the next Monday we packed up everything and moved down to Florida (had a job waiting). After making some connections while down there, I moved up and on in my industry, and headed over to Dallas for about 4 years. While there we bought a house, and had a baby. The next thing I knew I was moving long distance yet again up to Michigan (the only move I regret), but then shortly thereafter I ended up right back in Columbus.
Sure it was a bit of a hassle, money was tight (moving is expensive), and it created a lot of anxiety. But looking back at it, I'm very glad that I did. I learned a lot during that time, and got to experience different parts of the country.
You seem to be very sharp, and I'm sure you'll be successful.
The biggest advice I can give you is to make sure you plan everything out. And keep in mind that transitions like these are always more expensive than you budget for!
