The carbon fiber muffler is essentiallly (expensive) plastic. You can use the same polishes as you would on the paint.

For the stainless steel and non-anodized aluminum, most any metal polish will brighten it up. If you want to do a good job, it helps to disassemble things that come apart easily.

For the windshield, I'm not sure. I don't know if it may have a UV absorbing coating that would be removed by polishing. If it is in bad shape, I suppose you don't have much to lose though.

Ask the owner if the carbon fibre muffler gets hot, my last bike had a c/f can and it never got hot - so it responded well to a coat of wax just like the paintwork.

Intricate things to detail bikes aren;t they? is that your bike? it's a nice R1.

I have the same problem with my screen - the previous owner had swirled the life out of it. AG SRP applied 'firmly' and in one direction seems to have helped, but not got rid of them. I guess they will polish out though and probably softer than some clearcoats! I have heard that Meguiars PlastX is useful, but not tried it myself.

My ZX636: (with AG SRP & #16, metalwork treated with autosol)

good luck!

Ya he told me the CF doesn't get hot . I tried to get the pc on there last night and didn't have much luck it looks a little better but still has a little swirling I really did the tank area only he would like me to wait for him but it's take up space in the garage and that is where my car goes..
