Motion to add a 'spell-check' feature

Usally if I am to write a large post anywhere on the internet, I will type it in Microsoft Word first. I find it's annoying to do it for posts this short, but would be just as easy to do. Nice find on the spell checker on the DC forums though. I never saw it before. Thanks

Yes, I would have to agree. I am looking for an automated spell checker that does the job without being overly annoying.

Looks like you already have a spell checker at DC Dwayne.

It's just an option you have to set in your profile. Go to User CP and then go to Options. At the bottom you just need to change the Interface to the one I posted.

Well I went into the user CP and selected the option that was suggested and the spell check symbol shows up in Internet Explorer but not Firefox. Also that setting screws up the spell checker in the Google Tool Bar for Firefox. Whats going on with that?

Another thing, the spell checker in Detail City is the one I provided a link to in my first post in this thread. It's called ie spell. Probably explains why it doesn't work in Firefox. Here is the link again http://www.iespell.com/

I guess they figure if you are smart enough to use Firefox then you are smart enough to check your own spelling.

I would be very interested to know if any body else using Firefox and the Google Tool Bar for Firefox is experiencing problems with the Google Tool Bar spell checker when they set the Message Editor Interface to "Enhanced Interface- Full
WYSIWYG Editing" in the Detail City user CP. When I set it there my Google Tool Bar spell checker does not work properly. When I set the Message Editor Interface to the other options the Google Tool Bar spell checker works great.

I'd like to add my support for the spelling and grammar checker module. Many posts on this forum are bordering on "failed 1st grade".
