Mothers vs Zaino - Will I noticed a difference?

I've used Zaino products before and they are excellent. I realize that technique is very important with using any detail product. I recently have given the new Mother's Syn Wax Fx line a try and am pleased with it. After washing my car, I use the Spray Wax FX as a follow up. So far after 4 months, the car still looks very good. I believe the Spray Wax is why.

Question I have is, do you think it is worthwhile to go back to Zaino? Has anyone compared the new Mother's line to Zaino's? Zaino's being a distributor "high end" product should be better, but I find every now and then thats not always the case. :usa

My wife's vehicle has Zaino on it and my vehicle has one coat of FX Synwax topped with a couple of coats of the new Reflections Top Coat wax. Both vehicles were well prepped, and both look great. I still think the "Z" has the edge when it comes to durability, but the new Mothers products are excellent!! As a matter of fact, I think they are some of the best OTC products on the market, and in many cases... I think they are as good as many of the "boutique" products available!

I've heard some great things about several other of the new Mothers products and look forward to trying them.

Depends on what you want. I use NXT on my "other" car because it's very accessible (run down the street and buy it OTC) and it's a good one-step sealant that's easy to use and looks great. My Zaino car is a bit shinier and the paint surface smoother but that could be due to other factors (paint color/type, the Zaino car is more of a Garage Queen, etc, etc). If the Mothers works for you and you like it then continue on. Just because a product may not be "as good" as Zaino doesn't mean that it isn't good in itself. I've heard so many good things about the Mothers that I'm tempted to check it out myself. ;)

Just because Ziano last longer it does not mean it protects your car better. I mean that if you apply Mothers monthly your probably gonna have better protection than a twice a year Ziano. If you like the look and don't mind applying FX more often then go with it. I personally don't feel right about letting a paint go so long without reapplying wax. I like to do it at minimal every 2 months.

Thanks. I'm the same way, I don't go more then two months. I believe the Reflections Line is supposed to be more durable then the FX line, although they are both similar chemistries. I guess if I apply it as often as I want to, it shouldn't be an issue. I havn't used anything but the Spray Wax in over 4 months and the car still looks great. I think the durability is pretty decent.

as long as your willing to use the FX spray wax durability isn't an issue as your refreshing the wax with a new layer.

I was thrilled when I thought FX Synwax would become my wax of choice, but then I started seeing to much white residue on my dark car, especially after rains.

I'm back to #26 and Natty's on my red car.

That is tough, since you are basically talking about two synthetics. If it were Mother's Pure Carnauba Wax, then you may see a clearer difference. However, I've yet to see how well the new Mother's synthetic wax's resolution appears. Compare the two and decide, and let us know the results.

If you like the look, durability and ease of use of Mothers, no reason to switch back to Zaino unless you prefer it more.

More expensive or exclusive does not necessarily mean it will meet your needs better.
