Mothers Top Coat?

daos

Got the Hang of it Now
Anyone ever used this product? Its from thier Reflections line and looks pretty interesting as a final step procedure. Im wondering what kind of effects it would have, if any.

i was at the auto store the other night and got interested in it. until i read the cleaners it had. sicne it said top coat i thought it was a cleaner free synthetic and/or carnuba

EDIT: or maybe it was the mothers reflections "car wax"

LOL. yeah it must have been because this product does not have any cleaners.

According to Mothers, "Top Coat has no cleaners and is clearcoat safe — so it can be used on top of any car wax, sealant or glaze — and is ideal for use after Reflections® Car Wax."

it says its a combination of natural waxes and synthetic polymers. sounds like carnuba though...

I used it once and was quite disappointed. It looked good initially, but only lasted a week or so - extremely sensitive to marring and water spots. I'm certainly not bashing Mothers or the Reflections line, the rest of the reflections line is certainly good.

With regards to what it is made of - I'm not sure - but it does have a strong chemical smell.

I just got the Reflection Top Coat and Andvance Car Wax. I'm goin to detail my sisters 300c next week so I'lll let you know what I think.

I have had this product in my lineup for awhile now. Ive used it only twice...both times on a black car. I was not impressed with it. I used it over top of Megs NXT liquid wax and it seemed to actually dull the finish...and it didnt last long. I also have the Mothers Reflections wax...and it seemed quite nice for an OTC product.

got this stuff too
i was pleased with it
also..there is a smell to it..but its not bad
i chose this myself as it has no cleaners

Mothers Top Coat is a synthetic and carnuba blend. Poorboys EX is a synthetic and carnuba blend. Are they similar? Ive used Poorboys EX and I think that its super.

I did this with Mothers Power Polish 1, Mothers Reflection Car Wax and Mothers Reflection Top Coat. The finish was unreal when it was do.

Nice detail,
the car is beautiful can you tell me anything about it?

The car is a 2005 Chrysler 300 with custom 22x9 Wheels and 255/30/22 tires. It has been lowered with KW coilovers 2" in front and 2 1/4" in the rear. With the coilovers I can manuallly adjust the hieght and damper of the car (ride quality). The doors have the LSD door hinges which allow them to open lambo style. Under the hood is a Volant air intake and Gibson Performance short body heares a cat back exhaust should be on in the next week. There is a full VIP body Kit with light covers, PIAA fog lights and A Stainless Steel Grillcraft grill on it. Here's a photo under the hood.

When I show the car the process is as follows

Wash
Mothers Clay Bar
Mothers Power Polish 1 by PC
Mothers Reflections Car Wax by PC
Mothers Reflections Top Coat by PC
Mothers Chrome Polish
Mothers FX Tire Shine
Meguiar's NXT Glass Cleaner

Using Fatchance's procedure I have had very good results with the Reflections line of products. Have used it on a direct side by side comparison to Zaino. The only thing that I noticed between the two is that the Mother's darkened the black paint of my truck. Durability is top of the line in my book.

I have to give the personal preference to Zaino but anyone using the Reflection line of products will have a very good quality product that is shiney and durable

Fatchance....always love to see pictures of your vehicle. Beautiful, Very Beautiful!!
