Mothers Sealer and Glaze

I tried Mothers Sealer and Glaze today . What a great product. It does everthing that I.H.G. and Meg #7 does only faster and easier. I didnt have any Mothers wax to top it with so I used Meg.#26, It look great deep and liquid. Next time Ill top it with S100.

Did you buy the Sealant and Glaze locally? Or off the web? I haven't found Mother's products to be widely distributed by the major chains (AutoZone, Pep Boys, etc...). They usually have the basics there, but nothing like S&G or the Chip Repair System.

ntwrkguy1 - AZO stocks 5 Mothers products, and Pep Boys has 17 of them, including Sealer and Glaze.

Chip Repair is rather hard to find. I have a list of e-tailers who stock it if you're interested.

Hey Forrest,

You were actually kind enough to hook me up with a local NC supplier for the Chip Repair several weeks ago (which I did receive but haven't tried yet! :( I'll head over to Raleigh and check out Pep Boys stock -- I wasn't aware they had that many items.

Thanks for the info,

DavidM

Yup, MS&G is one of my favorites! It wipes off with very little effort and fills swirls better than the other two popular glazes. I've applied it a few times via PC (finishing pad) to the entire car, then buffed it right off with an MF. Ease of removal doesn't get too much easier than this product. I've tried following it up with both Mother's California Gold as well as P21S and both instances resulted in a deep, rich shine.

Bought some Mothers S&G ($6 at Pep Boys) last winter when I was testing all of my polishes and MFs on a CD.

Used it for the first time last week on my own car.

Is there any easier product to use than S&G? Man, was it easy on and easy off. I would compare it to GEPC for user friendliness and shine. It also produced a very, VERY smooth paint surface. It surprised me.

Does anyone know whats in the S&G?

Okay, okay! I can't resist plugging this product either. :p

First, I'll start off with the disclaimer that this is the first and only glaze I've ever used. That said, I don't think I'll be needing to try the other glazes that typically compete such as Meguiar's #7 and 3M IHG. Both have had their share of people experiencing difficulty using them and so far I don't think I've heard any negative feedback on Sealer and Glaze. I personally find it painless to use and am pleased with the results it gives, so I'm happy. :xyxthumbs

Echoing what jmsc said, what's in this stuff? For some reason that I can't seem to put my finger on, I was surprised to find S&G left the paint slick - do glazes normally do this? Are there any protective ingredients in it, like products such as VM and GEPC?
